Clean and comfortable. Good, clear instructions for entry to apartment. Safe and secure. Situated in the heart of the city, near all attractions, cafes, bars and restaurants. Facilities ideal for a couple to stay in Amboise.

Finding nearby parking took some time. Although only a 5 minute walk from some free parking and suggestions from owner was accurate.

The apartment’s location right in the heart of Amboise is fantastic. I imagine it’d be hard to beat. Everything is just a short walk away. Despite this, everything stops at 11.00pm and it’s wonderfully quiet. The apartment itself was meticulously clean and Mai – who I spoke to on the phone – was extremely helpful and friendly. We were a little confused that it didn’t match all the photos until we realised that there are TWO apartments: we were on the 2nd floor and there’s one on the 1st. (Don’t know about the ground.) I think it’s also important to mention that there are a LOT of stairs, which I’d suggest should be stated loud and clear. Having said that – despite awaiting a knee replacement – I made it up and down! The apartment itself is simple and basic (and the bedside tables are tiny!) but it seems to have all we needed and we enjoyed our stay.

It'd be good to make it clear on the Booking.com page that it's one of two apartments and that both involve quite a few stairs. (I know it's in the small print.)

The worst experience to have in France and we were just starting our trip

The apartment was ok but without instructions how to arrive nor the access code available even after communicating with the host several times, it was the most horrible experience. DONT book this apartment if you don't want to be stranded in a foreign country

I email the host 3 times before departure asking for the availability of the access code and direction to the apartment but no reply at all. So I Thot that she will get back to me the day before I got to the apartment but still nothing. So the day before going to her apartment, I had to ask the hotel which I was residing in to call her for the access code and details on the address and location. After getting the details, I emailed her again in case I may need her help in Amboise again no reply. I would NEVER recommend anyone to take this host if you don't want to be stranded in France and on top of that we came in late the day of arrival. Trying to find the apartment in the evening with no contact from the host is a very bad etiquette of the host and a very bad experience. She didn't even bother to make sure that I had the access codes of the apartment before I came to Amboise. I had to go thru all the difficulties. Such an ill-mannered person who doesn't feel how a person will feel stranded in a foreign country after booking her apartment.

The place is huge, fits a couple and two kids. The room is very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and its location is close to everywhere.

Great position in a great village

This apartment is bright and airey in an excellent location and is very comfortable. The free parking is a short 5 minute walk from the apartment. Would definitely recommend.

The advise about being able to park in a nearby street full of cars to unpack is a bit hit and miss because you can only do that if there's a space available, but as I mentioned above the free 24/7 parking is not much further away.

everything was as mentioned in the ad except that the sofa was not transformed into a bed as promised so our daughter had to sleep on a leather couch. appliances were there but the containers were empty, no coffee, tea, sugar, etc. there was a washing machine but no tablets or soap to use it. nice windows but we were told not to open them because pigeons could fly in the apartment, it was 34 degrees when we arrived, it would have been nice to sleep with windows opened.

Great Location, right in the center of Amboise. Spacious and clean apartment. Lots of restaurant options, all within walking distance. Several parking lots within walking distance to the apartment.

No bath towels! We checked into the apartment on Monday afternoon. Noticed there were no bath towels only 2 small hand towels. Messaged the host immediately and requested bath towels. Terrible communication from the host as they did not respond until Thursday afternoon. Stated it was housekeepings error not hers and she would bring the bath towels. No one showed up with bath towels. We were not impressed! Note, if thinking of renting here, bring your own towels. Although pictures show they are supplied, after reading through other reviews we realized the host does not provide towels. We rented the place for the week so towels were essential to us. We only heard back again from the host on check out day with her list of checkout requests.

Lovely time in Amboise, accomodation good, nice ambiance generally, restaurants good and friendly.

Superly situated for shops, restaurants, chateaux and market all of which were reachable on foot. Neighbourhood quiet at night, Bathroom and kitchen very well equipped.

Unfortunately our host said someone different cleaned the apartment before we arrived and it was not as clean as Expected. There was a used bar of soap with hair left in the bathroom, other hair found in bathroom, a dirty broom in the water closet, dust under the bed, only hand towels provided, they seemed old, entry was NOT private, lots of bird droppings in the entryway was disgusting. The I ssue with birds droppings was not disclosed until after confirmation. many people would find this unacceptable.

The hosts are very nice people. The flat is right in the centre of Amboise near some very lovely cafes. If you look out of the window and on the left you can see Tour de l'Horloge. Its 2 meters away. If i go back to Amboise, i shall stay with here in this apartment again.

The property is on the second floor and the stairs are quite steep making negotiating heavy luggage a bit of a problem but we managed.

Very well located in the heart of Amboise with a nice view on the clock tower. Appartement is well equipped m, sparkling clean and the owner is very nice and accommodating. We travelled with a baby and had access to a baby bed too! We recommend it!

Ottima posizione, in pieno centro, a pochi passi dal castello e sulla via principale con disponibilità nelle vicinanze di boulangerie e supermercato. Essendo la zona pedonale non ci sono parcheggi sotto casa, ma nelle vie affianco sono disponibili parcheggi a pagamento. Allontanandosi di qualche metro ci sono anche parcheggi gratuiti. Casa ampia e pulita

Attenzione che le scale sono strettissime, si fa un po' di fatica a salire i due piani con la valigia
