la maison du philosophe

The property was beautifully designed and comfortably laid out. Perfect for a couple to use as a base to explore the town and nearby chateaus. Having secure parking on sight was a bonus. Everything for meal preparation was well provided for. Comfortable bed and a great shower. The decor was nicely considered and the Mona Lisa mural was a treat. Everything you need for your stay is in easy walking distance. Lots of little shops to enjoy as well.

The only negative is the spiral staircase up to the flat. A bit challenging to carry your luggage but understandable given the age of the property.

Great location

Stairs to climb to the apartment

We really enjoyed our 4 nights in this delightful accommodation!! We received plenty of recommendations & information prior to our arrival and also clear instructions as to how to access the apartment. The host was very helpful, kind and accommodating. We felt at home and it was one of our favourite stays in our trip throughout Europe. The welcome local wine and biscuits were much appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the shower great. We were happy to be able to use the washing machine (which also had good instructions). It was very quiet and also dark in the bedroom which made for good sleeping conditions. Great location and great restaurants nearby! (recommended to book early!) We enjoyed sitting under the tree outside drinking the lovely local wine! Highly recommended!!!
