L'intermède amboisien - Center of Amboise, 3 bedrooms, garden, parking

We enjoyed staying at this lovely property. The house was beautifully renovated with an interior stone wall and exposed beams upstairs. The garden was large and private, surrounded in the back by tall trees. The kitchen was very well stocked, including pretty dishes and some vintage cocktail glasses. Loved the decorative plates showing the local chateaux, displayed on one of the refinished vintage cabinets. The beds were really comfortable and each bedroom had its own ac unit. There were also two portable fans which we used in the dining and living rooms, which were furnished with very comfortable furniture. It was nice being able to pull in and park inside the gate. Manuela was very welcoming, available on WhatsApp and easy to work with (with each of us using the translation app . )

The house was lovely. The garden was private, although not as pretty as it could have been. As a committed gardener I was disappointed that the ‘flower beds’ were full of weeds. The ‘conservatory’ was not mentioned, but is currently set up as a playroom for children. It could be so much better. It’s a nice room and would be good with a sofa and table and chairs, for using on hot days, as it’s quite shady. It looks as if the house has only very recently become a holiday home, as everything inside looked new. No complaints at all about that, but I think a little more attention to beautifying the garden, would be a good thing. The host responded quickly to any questions etc, as did the cleaner, who kindly allowed us to leave later than 10am. Parking was easy and secure within the garden area. The walk into town was easy and quick. Good luck in your future lettings. It’s already very nice, peaceful and well equipped.

The location was great, and the house was perfect for our trip. We enjoyed the outside area for relaxing after our days of sightseeing. The host was very responsive.
