Perfect accommodation for a short break in Mersea.

Really nicely laid out modern accommodation. Lovely large modern bathroom with bath and shower. Good location just a short stroll from the harbour.

Lovely well presented , clean and tidy perfect for quiet getaway.

If I’m picky the sofa wasn’t as comfortable as would have liked and pillows too soft but that me being picky. Other than this host, location and property were great.

Excellent location, warm and cosy, beautifully decorated and well equipped. Brilliant communication from the owner who was extremely helpful. Parking right outside.

Short break in West Mersea

Beautiful little lodge, very comfortable & in perfect setting for short break in West Mersea with our young dog. Just a short walk to the waterfront where there are lots of places to eat & drink. We were made to feel very welcome & the bottle of bubbly was a lovely surprise!

Luxurious haven close to the sea.

Gorgeous bedroom and luxurious bathroom. Everything finished to a high standard. Everything you could need for a relaxing stay and a few minutes walk from the sea. David and Ann were lovely hosts.

Amazing short stay in a great location!

Great location - easy reach of the anchorage & local eateries. The accommodation was well equipped, had an amazing bathroom with super fluffy towels & was really peaceful. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bottle of Prosecco 😁

The pillows were a little lumpy, but apart from that the whole place suited our needs.

Comfortable, cosy and convenient

The location is excellent. Literally a three minute stroll to the seafront and eating places. The accommodation is very stylish with a very swish modern bathroom. Very clean, everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Considering the accommodation is professionally styled and equipped we thought the rather threadbare towels and substandard bedding let the place down. And whilst a bottle of Prosecco is very nice you can’t put it in your tea. Luckily we had taken milk and bread with us and we are aware there is a great disparity between what is offered by different establishments. These points whilst disappointing did not mar our overall enjoyment of staying at Little Lodge but would have enhanced it even more.

Mersea Island great base to explore surrounding areas.

Very short stroll to the beach. It was lovely and quiet most of the time. Property was warm and minimalistic which was perfect for the size of the lodge.

Lack of privacy when sitting in the living room and there were a lot of comings and goings. When the owners were out on the Friday evening the dogs barked a lot of the time. Whilst there was parking outside the lodge it was very difficult to manoeuvre to get out of the driveway. Bathroom looked amazing however the shower cubicle was cold, the towel rail was positioned where you could not reach it from the shower. You had to walk out of the shower, making the floor wet and slippery to reach your towel. We read the Guest book to get ideas of where previous guests recommended. A lot of them mentioned that they had received a complimentary bottle of fizz. When we booked we were asked if we were coming for a break or an event. I replied stating it was my birthday treat. Wondered why I was asked as I did not get my bottle of fizz! First aid kit was needed as my partner was bitten in bed (not by me)! Was disappointed to note that the contents were very out of date and could not be used. Glassware was sparse, needed bigger glasses.
