The Weavers Cottage

For us, the cottage was sufficient for a couple (not suitable for 3 adults as there is a bunk bed only in the second bedroom). The village of Oxenhope is tranquil. Population 2500. Has a good co-op store to purchase produce. We were close to the Bay Horse Inn (doesn't serve food) and the local fish and chip shop (great haddock cooked in dripping). Lots of good local walks (recommend walking to Haworth). Haworth is really pretty. Also found Hebden Bridge, Bingley (along the 5 locks canal) and Halifax (Piece Hall and Centre) to be worth a visit. We walked to Oakworth (where the original Railway Children was filmed). Take time to drive and walk around the locality. There are really good countryside views. Good communication from the owner (Jayne) with texts via the website. Thank you.

In reviews people made comments regarding parking being a problem. We were able to unload/load the car very close to the cottage and then parked the car around the corner (100 yds) where parking was free anyway. For us it wasn't an issue.

Exceptionally clean and so comfortable as always and perfectly placed for some of my fave walks.
