Breakfast was not included as we were self catering. The cottage was beautifully renovated.
I missed having the washer. The road up to cottage was in a very bad condition. Hard on foot and for a car.

Being able to have a cup of tea or coffee on arrival was such a small but nice touch.
We came in a large van and parking around the property wasnt amazing. We parked on the main road and walked up the street so it wasnt really a problem but if I had to say ine thing it would be this.

It was a charming house spotlessly clean and very well equiped
Would highly recommend
Squeaky floors are typical of old buildings but are a bit annoying
The bathroom latch was a bit noisy too

Even though nobody was there, we felt welcomed. The postcard was a lovely touch.
This isn't a criticism, but I was hoping for a folder with information; such as the internet code, nearest shops etc.....

It was a spacious house and felt homely. The sofas were very comfortable and the beds were too.
The kitchen had a good supply of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. There were ice blocks and cubes in the freezer to use to.
A lovely welcome note and shortbread biscuits were a lovely surprise 🙂
A few bits which I have messaged Sykes about for them to sort out.
We would have preferred a washing machine to the dishwasher (didn't use).
The access road to the property is quite bumpy as it's an unmade road.
Yet to see if charged for damage already there.

Excellent, spacious accommodation in a calm environment, with lovely views accross the fields. Well equipped kitchen, neat bathroom and cosy bedrooms. We all slept really well.
The property was clean and tidy. The shower was powerful!
Very thoughtful hosts, so nice to be greeted with biscuits, beer and prosecco, what's not to love. The pint of milk in the fridge was equally welcome! Thank you Sue and Mark.
This is how it should be done and yes, such gestures do make a difference. We would definitely stay here again 🤩.

A very clean, well appointed cottage for our stay visiting family and friends across north Yorkshire. It was mid December and the hosts had decorated the cottage for Christmas, complete with tree. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard.
The cottage is on a short private road that has plenty of pothole damage. If you drive slowly, it's not a problem at all, and there's a private parking space adjacent to the cottage.

location, well equiped , space of the house
The cleanliness (house smelled bad of dogs) and home and outside wasn’t very clean.
Uncomfortable beds
Stairs and all upstairs creeped like mad, everyone knew/heard each other when turning in beds or moving about.
Street access was very more , and Carpark space very tight due to other homes(cars ) around.
disappointed it did not have a washer machine, especially as we had a 2 wk visit and had to use local laundry house.

Fabulous house with nice views and on a main bus route. Close to local amenities. The little welcome card and pack was a really nice touch. We will be returning when we can.
Not a criticism, more a suggestion.. a file with local information and instructions for appliances would be helpful.

This is the most wonderful little cottage. It is fitted out with everything you need for a short break, with little extra touches such as candles, cotton wool, and tasteful decor. The welcome pack of milk, prosecco, beer, cookies and Easter chocolates was so welcome after a long journey with two young kids, and so kind of the hosts. The heating was effective and the underfloor heating downstairs was a real luxury! We will definitely be returning- the countryside location but the proximity to useful shops and a park was perfect. 10/10!
Was all great!

We stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect for us as a family. I especially loved the little touches of the welcome card, drinks and biscuits. This made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend.

Spacious, well thought out in terms of furniture and facilities; kitchen was really well stocked for all sorts of cooking, it was nice to have a large + separate living room, the bathroom was really clean and pleasant, bedrooms had desks and mirrors and lamps etc. Farms, cows and green hills from the windows.
Despite the photographs, there isn't a washing machine which was inconvenient for us as we were travelling for a while and hoping to reset ourselves here.

Good amount of space inside. Bath/shower. Three bedrooms. Kind welcome by offering a free ale and prosecco. Nice electric fire after a rainy day (but a bit temperamental). Short drive to key local sites such as Bradford museums, Saltaire and Howarth. Pooch friendly!
Cleaning needed a refresh - towels had dead insects on them. Bed a bit springy. Floors are cold so bring slippers. Electric heater cut out. Parking is a bit hit and miss and the light from the building outside disturbed our sleep.

The cottage is wonderful. It is clean, bright and well equipped. The location has a country feel to it whilst being very near shops and pubs etc. The hosts provided fresh flowers on arrival amongst many other thoughtful touches to make us feel very welcome. 5*
