We had a lovely stay overall. The location was excellent – very central and close to everything we wanted to do
The lodge itself was beautiful and comfortable, and the hot tub was a fantastic addition. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day out.
The only slight downside was that the lodge could have been a bit cleaner on arrival, as there were a few areas that could have done with more attention. However, this didn’t take away from our enjoyment of the stay.

We like the seclusion & we know what we are getting when we book it. This was our 3rd visit to the same Lodge
Cleanliness in kitchen could have been better.
Dishwasher was mouldy inside. Lack of basic cutlery, if there were 4 of us there were not enough dinner knives to go round. Only 2 mugs & 2 cups. Large wine glasses were filthy & 1 of the flutes was in the cupboard broken.
1 dining chair was not safe to sit on.
No brush, mop or vacuum cleaner to allow us to clean up behind ourselves.

Great location with some lovely walks nearby, lodge was on the whole lovely but was in need of some refurbishment, lots of chipped paint & black mould in shower
In need of refurbishment, very basic kitchen utensils. Bracket in fridge door broken so couldn’t store food properly, tea towel was very dirty, as was the oven. Kitchen bin lid also broken. Glass tables were all dirty with smudged fingerprints
