Wasn’t a good start when we went to check in and the booking they received from Agoda was for a twin room when we had booked a family room with King Bed. *** at reception couldn’t do anything for us as the hotel was fully booked (completely Agoda’s fault) Room was ok, was an issue with lack of water or pressure from the hot tap in the bathroom, and the noise from people at the front door of the hotel was pretty bad late at night. Food is the restaurant was very good, and the breakfast was good also. All in all, decent hotel, just a few small issues.

Decent place to stay - older - not a North American 4 star hotel. A touch pricey after the conversion rates for what you get but has an authentic Scottish feel in a park like setting. Food quality was OK and convenient but could use some more resources to up the game a bit to improve the experience. Given options in the area would recommend.

Dinner poor in our party of 10 all meat was tough. Returned about 12.30 in morning after wedding reception. Found doors locked with notice to ring a phone number. Unanswered so second option was to ring bell at back door (why not front?). Also no answer. We all waited outside for about half hour banging on doors and windows until night watchman just happened to walk past inside and opened door!
