We booked the two accommodations on the top floor that are right next to each other, as we were a group of 6. Both apartments were very nice, clean, and had comfortable beds. The views were amazing, and the location is close to the city centre, which was a big plus. The lady who greeted us was nice and helpful. She showed us to the rooms and helped with parking. Also, just a quick tip for finding the place. Google Maps tries to take you up the main street, which you can’t drive on. The best way to get there is via “Ul. Edelvays,” which runs along the river in Bansko. The roads leading down to stay are absolutely horrible, with massive holes.

There were a few issues during our stay. In the studio room (the one-bedroom), the bathroom would completely flood after running the water for just a minute. My partner had to remove the drain using a knife and a bag over his hand, and it was completely blocked with hair, which explains why it flooded so easily. I believe the bathroom in the bigger apartment had a similar issue. The studio room also had a problem with the curtains. Every time you opened them, the door caused the curtain hinges to pop off. A bit annoying, but not the biggest issue. Another downside was the smell in the building. It seemed like the floor below us was used as private accommodation, and the hallway had a strong smell of cat urine. The next morning, a cat also wandered into the bigger apartment while the door was open. Personally, I don’t mind animals, but I know this could be an issue for others. If you’re allergic or not a fan of cats, this probably isn’t the best choice. There is also no elevator, so just be aware of that if you have injuries or difficulty with stairs.
