Villa Wickenburg

Nagyon szép volt. Tiszta és ízléses. Kedves volt a vendéglátónk. Csodálatos helyen van. Bármikor visszamennénk. Remélem még visszatérünk, hiszen még a közeli zarándokhelyre sem jutottunk el. Salzburg nem 3 napot, de legalább 3 hetet érdemel!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Wickenburg. The host, Herbert, was exceptionally helpful, responsive, and very friendly. Everything went smooth from check in to departure. Great communication. The studio itself is beautifully designed, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped. It has almost everything you might need: comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchenette including a fridge with small freezer part, a toaster, a microwave and a small induction cooking plate, and a great rain shower in the modern bathroom. The small garden is a lovely bonus. There is also a good-sized wardrobe with sufficient hangers available. Also, Villa Wickenburg gives you normal and very decent toilet paper. Not the 1-ply toilet rolls which you get in most hotels. We had great nights of sleep and when you can enjoy the sounds of singing birds in the morning. The location is also very convenient. There’s a bus stop and train station within easy walking distance, making it simple to get around. Nearby you’ll find a Hofer supermarket and even a fantastic Indian restaurant. Despite the good connections, the immediate surroundings are peaceful and quiet. You will get a digital travel ticket for Salzburg to make free use of the public transport during your stay. Although I didn´t need to use it: there is a washing room with two washers and two dryers that you can use in the basement. There are also an iron and board available. There is no meal plan/breakfast, but since city center can be reached quite fast, there are plenty of options there.

One thing to be aware of is the bathroom layout. The bathroom and the studio are separated by a wall with a window, and although there is a roll‑down curtain, it’s translucent. This means you can still see silhouettes and movements, which can feel a bit awkward if you’re sharing the space. Also, when someone would need to use the toilet at night (which is in the bathroom), the bathroom light will also light up the studio. It looks stylish, but in this case the design prioritizes aesthetics over privacy and comfort. Hence a 9 as a score instead of a 10. Another remark: When you go out on foot, just outside the very direct surroundings of the Villa: mind the traffic. People tend to drive "very enthusiastically" in the industrial area close by, while the infrastructure is not the most pedestrian friendly.

Der Gastgeber Herr M. ist ein ausgesprochen sehr freundlicher, sympathischer, hilfsbereiter, empatischer Mensch. Man fühlt sich aufgehoben in der Villa, die super schick und mit sehr viel LIEBE UND GESCHMACK EINGERICHTET wurde. Das gesamte Ambiente ist wunderbar. Ein sehr schöner Garten, es ist ruhig, die Betten sind hervorragend. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles ist stimmig! Danke!

Alles hat gepasst und war in Ordnung. Alle Fragen und Wünsche wurden sofort beantwortet und es wurde immer sofort erledigt! Es gab nur positive Resonanz und der Eigentümer war für seine Gäste immer da! was will man mehr!
