Rooftop Retreat

Alojamiento super amplio! Muy bien equipado, limpieza de 10 y zona muy tranquila! Está lejos del centro no obstante es una zona muy buena, con bares y supermercados a dos minutos. Nos encantó la estancia! Lo recomendaremos sin duda

Very comfortable very clean space! We were traveling as 7 people, which was very easy to fit into the apartment. Everything was very comfortable and very well thought for guests. Hosts give a little handbook about area and what to see in Edinburgh which felt like we were staying in friends’ home!

Great and cost-effective place to stay for work (3 of us in total) - all the bedrooms are generously sized (so no squabbling over rooms), lots of hot water, excellent Wi-Fi speeds, plenty of power sockets, comfy spaces that are impeccably clean, two separate work zones (dinning table and table upstairs), and the building is so so quiet (great for a refreshing night's sleep). Excellent touch having good quality toiletries, tea/coffee, plenty of towels, and the kitchen is also well-appointed appliance wise so breakfasts/dinners were a doddle. Absolutely lovely having a private rooftop terrace, but sadly the weather wasn't good enough for us to use it during our stay - otherwise we totally would have! The hosts were super helpful on the run up to our stay (answering my tedious questions), as were the cleaning and quality control teams. Plenty of great cafes, bars, shops and takeaways in the immediate area, so we felt perfectly placed and it took a lot of stress out of the week. Thank you so much!

The only downside (and you're made clearly aware before booking) is, of course, the lack of lift - it only hits home when you're dragging heavy cases/equipment up (we were quite laden). It is well worth it once you're inside though!

Clean, modern and well equipped.

Unfortunately, we had to check out earlier than planned due to several issues that made the stay uncomfortable for our family. While the apartment itself was clean and nicely furnished, getting there was extremely difficult. It took us nearly two hours to find the location, and another two hours trying to reach the host for assistance. The location shown on Booking.com was misleading, as it appeared to be on the street, but in reality, it was hidden between buildings in alleys. Navigating through these alleys at night with children and elderly family members felt unsafe and stressful. Important details like “no lift” access were not mentioned clearly in the listing. The building itself is hard to find, and a photo of the entrance or clearer directions would have helped a lot. Overall, although the apartment itself was good, the poor communication, unclear listing, and difficult, unsuitable access for families forced us to cut our stay short. I wouldn’t recommend this property for families or anyone unfamiliar with the area unless the listing is updated significantly.
