Excellent location. Two dedicated parking spaces. Very clean, nicely decorated with added extras to make it homely. Kitchen had supplies above and beyond the usual tea & coffee - cupboard stocked with condiments, sauces etc. A cake and a welcome message was also a nice touch. We used this as a base to attend a wedding and will definitely use again (if available!) when visiting family that live in this area.

Great place, welcoming, clean and comfortable stay!

I had a wonderful stay! Everything was amazing. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt warm and homely. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful, they even left a little welcome cake, which was such a kind surprise. They also provided clear instructions for everything, including how to use the heating, which was especially helpful given the cold weather. There is dedicated parking for 2 cars which was also very convenient. All the facilities were great and made the stay very comfortable. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!😊😊

Cleanliness, comfort and convenience. Location was superb, a quiet area, no night time noise. Pubs, restaurants and store within easy walking distance. Rooms were clean and tidy with with everything needed to hand.

Sisters birthday weekend

Style of the cottage, beautiful decor, cake was a nice touch, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, felt like home from home, appreciated the early access and that we could control the heating ourselves when needed, really nice to have the option to sit outside and have a coffee. Location was perfect for our visit to Blists Hill Victorian Town and the co op at the top of the road was handy. Friendly welcome in the Swan Taphouse where we went for lunch. Overall we had a lovely stay for a birthday celebration.

Not that we didn't like but the bathroom needs updating to bring it to the same standard of the rest of the cottage. We found the lounge to be a little dim in the evening perhaps an extra lamp or a brighter light bulb in the overhead light.

Comfortable stay right in Ironbridge in lovely well equipped house

Lovely property set right in Ironbridge - nice walks directly from the doorstep even to the museums - along the river or,if you’re fitupthe hill ! It’s well maintained and well equipped - comfortable and warm Private designated parking outside the door. The kitchen was well equipped too and the cake was a lovely welcome -Thanks for a great stay

We thought it was a little dark until we changed the light bulb !! Slightly noisy from motorbikes having fun on the main road but cannot help that ! A dishwasher may be the only extra I can possibly think of

A lovely cottage in a great location, would happily stay again if visiting the area.

The cottage was very well located, next door to an excellent café, and with a co-op at the end of the road. Not being walkers we appreciated the flat walk into the village! There was a bus stop nearby and we took this to Shrewsbury one day. The cottage was very well equipped, and all simple instructions were found in the house folder.

We found the sofa uncomfortable, but that is just personal taste, and there was a lot of road noise, especially when it rained. Having read previous reviews we slept in the back bedroom and the noise did not trouble us at night.

Great accommodation in super location.

Location is excellent for all Ironbridge facilities. Parking is easy and there is a cafe next door and a large CoOp 5 mins away. House is very well equipped.

Just minor point the lighting in the front room was not very bright making it impossible to read at night.

Lovely cottage decorated well - thank you for the cake and milk. Lovely area outside to enjoy a glass of wine or two ,- just a 10 min walk to the Water Rat where we had an amazing lunch staff were sensational would highly recommend- beds comfy Lovely bed linen and pillow couldnt fault that

We had a wonderful stay at Salthouse Cottage in Ironbridge! I’ve never slept so well in my life – the mattress was incredibly comfortable, even with occasional cars passing by. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen had all the essentials we needed. The cottage felt so cosy and welcoming – it truly felt like a home away from home. The host was also fantastic, communicating with us regularly and responding quickly to all of my questions. We’ll definitely be back! 🥰

The busy road and traffic noise was off putting especially when needing the windows open due to the hot weather. A recycling bin inside the property would have been good.

A perfect base for the Ironbridge museums and Shropshire

Salthouse Cottage is a very comfortable and well appointed cottage. A lot of thought has gone into the furnishings and decor. Bec is a perfect host with excellent communication. The decking was lovely to be able to enjoy the summer weather.

As we visited during extremely hot weather, we had all the windows open. The only downside was hearing all the passing traffic, which was loud at times. For very light sleepers, this may be of concern.

Lovely cottage in an ideal location. Only a few minutes walk to shops & pubs/restaurants. It was clean & well equipped & we really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were really friendly & left milk & a cake for us which was a lovely gesture. We would recommend Salthouse cottage for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the local area.

Great little property in a fabulous location.

The location is fantastic and in strolling distance to the bridge. It has restaurants, pubs and amenities close by. The cottage was beautifully presented and very comfortable with 2 parking spaces.

The only negative was the shower which was a little more than a trickle of water. Luckily there was a hand held shower that worked off the excellent water pressure.

Cannot fault this cottage and the nice touches by the owner. Location is ideal for walking along the river with plenty of places to eat if you don’t want to cook. Has the convenience of a supermarket across the road too.

chilled in a perfect location

The location was perfect. The house was beautiful, clean and all facilities needed were provided. It was so nice to have milk and a cake left for us on our arrival, thank you :) The weekend was planned for me and my sisters to go to Much Wenlock Christmas market, however the Great British weather had other plans. We didn't let this put us off, we still went into Much Wenlock, braving the wind and rain, and what a beautiful place. We visited a couple of the local pubs in Ironbridge, all very welcoming, the community and the people so so nice.

The weather, but there is absolutely nothing that can be done to improve upon this.

Superb accommodation, home from home and just what we needed for a busy stay over in Telford. The location was easy to find, spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a stress-free visit. Fresh linen and bedding provided. We took two cars so the rear of the property's two-car allocated parking spots was a nice touch as it meant we could leave one car all day with no worries. Also within easy reach of the high street, a large well stocked Co-Op and more importantly pubs and restaurants. Great area to explore.
