Salthouse Cottage in Ironbridge

The location was easy to find and was well placed for Ironbridge - shops, restaurants and of course, the bridge. The cottage was compact and had everything we could wish, with a well equipped kitchen. Accessing the property was very easy and the car was parked just outside (always a plus). Having a separate toilet was also an added bonus when there are three of you.

Not being very technical, we found the TV a little difficult to navigate, and I had no access to all my passwords for various channels. We also spent a while sorting out the rubbish - but that's because we have less bins and a simpler system from our council.

There's everything you want both in the house and on the doorstep. Superb location right on the edge of all the facilities in Ironbridge. We were attending a wedding at the Valley Hotel so just a 2 minute walk. There's a great little cafe right next door for breakfast, cakes, drinks etc and a Coop across the road with a cash machine. The house was a great size for 3 of us and the beds and linens were super comfy. Excellent range of crockery, utensils and essentials in the kitchen plus a few toiletries in the bathroom too. Bec also left us a lemon drizzle cake to welcome us and when we rang her about the key safe she was great. The 2 parking spaces are also a massive bonus for the area.

The only negatives were really tiny - the bathroom door could do with a lock and the steps to the first floor could be a little steep for some. These are just little niggles though and certainly didn't spoil our stay or reduce our score.
