Very cute property with kind keepers

We were very happy to actually be able to spend 2 nights in the guesthouse with a booking made just a few days in advance when our previous reservation did not work. So big thanks for that. And it is actually pleasant to stay in a district of family houses, one gets to know how real people live in Vancouver, comparing to staying in a hostel in the city centre. And we liked the common space of the guesthouse - the basement of the house where 4 rooms are being rented.

We were a little suprised that since the rooms are originally rooms within one apartment, there is no way to lock the door of your room when you go out to city for the day. Similarly in the evening, you can only lock the garden door which serves as entry door for all guests once you make sure that all the guests are inside. Otherwise, anyone can come from the street during the night. But even though this seems a little weird for European travellers, it went ok for us:) Finally, there is only 1 bathroom/washroom to be shared by 3 rooms, which can be tricky as it is the only usable toilet if someone takes shower etc.

The host and his family were extremely accommodating! The room with four beds was even larger than we expected. The location is great if you are planning to travel around both Vancouver and Richmond.

the location is amazing either for the downtown or to the airport and also to the restaurant.

there was not breakfast provision and the toiletries were not replenished and there was no space to dry the wet towels and there was no proper ventilation
