sadly, I had a huge issue with the bed. I have a really bad back and the soft bed was not a good fit for me, but my husband loved it! There was nothing that could be done about this issue, and I dont want it to take away from the overall good experience

The house was very clean. The room was cozy and bed comfortable, a full kitchen available for long term stay, a back deck w tables available to enjoy the outdoors, kitchen is stocked w hot water kettle, teas, coffee and pots and pans. Easy access to downtown. Delicious breakfast and hot food options...omelet , French toast. Staff very friendly, approachable and welcoming.

The staff was very friendly and the room was perfect for me. Clean room, very comfortable bed. I loved the Keurig in my room. Walkable to everything.

Amazing location. Literally 5 minutes from Vij’s restaurant!

The fire alarm/smoke detector went off at 5:30am … no fire, but I could not sleep afterwards. The couple travelling with us had the same experience.

Good location but overpriced.

The location and the complimentary breakfast. Also the option of leaving the luggage in the living room when arriving before the 3 pm check-in time.

I stayed in a room on the main floor. I had difficulty getting to sleep as the floor in the room above me was creaking when its occupant was walking and there were loud thumps when they dropped something. The same thing happened in the morning. The bathroom was very small with a very small corner shower. Considering all of this, I found the cost of $352 per night (which already included a discount) too high. I would definitely request an upstairs room should I decide to book this property next time.

Charming stay - a home away from home

It was on a quiet street and we loved having 2 seperate spaces for me & my husband and his mother who joined us on the trip. The house was quintessentially cute!

Tired guest house and drab room in a good location.

This is a nice location close to transit but tucked just off the main roads on a quieter leafy street. Groceries and shops within walking distance along with the skytrain.

This accommodation is quite tired feeling with outdated decors, old curtains and random bits of wallpaper, lots of wear and tear on paints, furniture, etc. My room was quite dark and drab -- not a place I wanted to spend any time when I was awake.

Great B&B in good location next to Broadway Station. Very good breakfast.

The bed was a bit too soft for me, and the overwhelming odour of pot-pourri was too strong-I had to keep my windows completely open.

The breakfast was excellent and filling. Made to order omelette with croissants and fresh fruit was delicious. The accommodation in a residential part of town was charming.

Kitchen area was nice with good facilities. Great location.

The room was extremely small for two overseas travellers and accommodating our luggage was a juggling act. The room was hot and stuffy which made sleeping difficult. The bed was uncomfortable with terrible partner disturbance. The room was lit from all angles once the lights were out making it difficult to sleep and the linens and furnishings are very tired and outdated.

Great for short stay, but could be better

It was in a very nice peaceful area, minutes walking from downtown. The room had all amenities.

There was a smell of mold in the house and rooms that was hard to get used to. There was a high humidity level and was very cold , with no heater option. That was a bit of disappointment, but otherwise all good. Very nice people and service at breakfast.

Fantastic Location and Comfortable Stay

Staff was friendly and helpful, communication was always open, it was really convenient to be able to text them when I was running late for check in. The room was quiet, lovely windows and everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bathtub in my room (Alberni) was a welcome luxury because I don't have a tub at home currently!

Really nice location.

Very friendly and helpful staff, cosy room, very clean, parking spot and a good connection into the city with public transport within 5 min walking distance. The breakfast was also one of the best we had during our travel. The area is also very nice. We can definitely recommend Cambie Lodge.

One person can ruin it all.

It was comfortable.

A couple of people and I arrived at the property seconds apart, but the got to the door less than a minute before me. I had to catch a flight to pick my dad up for cancer surgery, so I asked the other guest if they mind if I grabbed my keys first so I could run put the door. The person that was checking us in answered by for them, but her attitude was unpleasant, to say the least. A simple “no” from the other guests would’ve sufficed. I cannot recommend this place, based on my personal experience. I do recognize that the place was clean and comfortable enough, and the other staff members were great (the chef and the younger woman that was sweeping in the morning), and you may have a much nicer experience than mine.

Chef was great, but breakfast was very basic. Help yourself to most things

Water pressure was low. Took forever to remove soap in the shower. Lost all hot water in the shower when the commode was flushed or the sink turned on.

Uncomfortably hot

The breakfast was great and the bed was very comfortable. The location is good, with only a couple of blocks walk to the train station

It was a hot week in Vancouver, and unfortunately, the room we had had no air conditioning (Yew room). It appears that a large tree outside the window has recently been removed, which may have provided some shade, but the room had all day sun and even if we left the curtains closed all day the room was uninhabitable until about 9pm every day. I'm sure if it was cooler weather the room would be fine. In addition, there was no chair in our room, so the only place to sit was on the bed. It would be good to have a chair to sit on.

It was a comfort to me to have this place to stay at.

I can't comment further as my reason for being in Vancouver was to visit my husband in hospital. Therefore, I didn't have time to stay for breakfast but the location was exceptional for my purposes - a 10 minute walk from the hospital. I have stayed at their accommodation next door several times in the past and already knew this was a good place to stay.
