Very central and easy flexible check in. Useful to have the kitchen facilities and the other guests were very pleasant and respectful.
I must have misread the description and did not realize that the toilet and shower were shared. It would have been better if there was a separate sink for face washing and brushing teeth. The internet was also very poor.

Good location and a beautiful room
The shared toilet and shower.

Central. Right on the high street. Free parking at a nearby car park. Everything one could as for from tea bags to a PlayStation. Super clean.
Entry a bit confusing at front door. Easily sorted but could be easier.
Good individual heating in rooms but toilet, shower and other common areas are unheated.
Still 100% value for money.

Nice and quiet. Easy to check in. Good kitchen facilities.

Short distance from the train station - owner was available when we had difficulty
accessing the front door on arrival.
Minimal breakfast. there were many guests but breakfast provided was no more than a snack and only available 1 or 2 mornings.
Plenty of activities accessible by train. particularly enjoyed the Nairn games.

All very clean and well presented.

The room was clean but shared facilities with 3 other rooms.
No hot water in the accommodation apart from an electric shower that was impossible to regulate. Very noisy location. Very poor value for money. We paid less for a quiet ensuite room with breakfast
7.0 / 10.0
The room was spacy and well furnished. Various snacks, drinks and (unexpectedly) basic breakfast options were provided! Clean cooking facilities and big, newish laundry machine and dryer were also a plus. The shared bathrooms were very clean. The location in the middle of the town, right next to a supermarket and most of the restaurants was very convinient.
There is a self check in process, with no staff on site, which basically means that your room is open with the key in it. Unfortunately, in our case there were multiple rooms to check in on the day and other guests took our room (so we ended up having twin beds instead of a single). The shower pressure is also pretty weak.

Very clean .comfortable, and ideal location . Great value for money .
Not a great tv reception Wi-Fi kept going of . No Netflix

Room was clean and comfortable
On arrival, there was no key available to lock the door, staff took an hour to arrive with a key. Staff tried to tell me i had only booked for 2 adults not 2 adults and a child, sent a screenshot to prove who I had booked for and staff I was communicating with took a hostile tone with me, I wasn't impressed with his manner.

Clean room until i seen the bird poop on the windowsill inside
We were in room 1
Outside the window was the exhaust for the pizza place downstairs it didn't stop till half past midnight!! The room was far too hot even with the fan on, couldn't open the window as the exhaust from the place downstairs was far too noisy, finally when it did stop i opened the window only to be greeted by a pigeon on the windowsill!! My wee boy woke up and was petrified
The exhaust thing was absolutely disgusting
Certainly won't be staying here again and I'm going to complain
2 nights here and didn't get a sleep
Just noticed bird poop 💩 on the inside window ledge !!!

All was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was good to have a kitchen to be used for.
Instructions from the host were clear and easy.
All facilities look as if they had been renewed recently.
The size of the bedroom.
Our window was old and didn't close correctly, so it was hard to sleep hearing the seagulls and some other noises throughout the night. Maybe fitting new windows would improve this place considerably. Blinds or blackouts would also help protect from light.
In my opinion, the place is a bit noisy. Doors slam instead of shut quietly, which is sometimes a nuisance.
Poor and unstable WiFi.
A picture of the main entrance would be much appreciated in order for new guests looking for stays in the area to have an idea of the place.

The property inside is well appointed, clean, comfortable and well equipped. It surprised and pleased belying the challenge of finding it down a rather dingy alleyway. Don't put off by the outside - Inside it is delightful.
Finding the property down a pedestrian and rather dingy alleyway doesnt do the property any justice. The internet was temperamental affecting both computer access and TV reception with buffering delays that interrupted enjoyment. The thermostat in the shower made for either a scalding hot or freezing cold shower. All of these are fixable and would make the experience all the more impressive.

Well situated on the High Street near the shops and restaurants.
The kitchen and bathroom/ toilets were shared facilities which worked reasonably well most of the time.
9.0 / 10.0
Sharing a bathroom & shower, but I knew that before I arrived.

Great location on High Street, twin room at front was lovely and spacious, clean and sunny. Comfortable beds with water and plenty of towels provided. Kitchen was useful to have and also the breakfast fruit/cereal.
Entrance sign (rather tired looking) from street didn’t do property justice! Much nicer inside than impressions outside gave. Also, more of a question but there was plenty of bread (and toaster) on the breakfast table but couldn’t see any butter/jam/spread to put in it! (Didn’t want to buy a packet of butter just for 2 slices of toast.)

location was perfect close to shops and restuarants Very quiet as we had back room Beds and bedding were of good quality and very comfortable Plenty towels and a good selection of items for breakfast
The seagulls

Free parking across the road, big comfy bed, good size TV and coffee making facilities.
Easy access to property and wasn’t disturbed during our brief stay. Small kitchen was available with free continental breakfast. Host provided bottles of water and cans of pop and some sweets which was a nice little touch AND there were some herbal tea options which made a nice change.
There was a heater in the room for if it got cold (which it did) and an extra throw on the bed.
Breakfast fruit looked like it was quite old as the cereal looked like it had been there for quite a while also. I had two bananas during my 2 day stay and both had to be thrown in the bin so breakfast option wasn’t great tbh but not the end of the world in the grand scheme.
Shower wasn’t the best BUT was good enough to wash hair (water pressure not great but could be the area) shower wasn’t clean and tidy and towels were provided…….overall a pleasant stay with thanks

Spotlessly clean and excellent facilities at a very convenient location.
Have no complaints about anything in the guest house.

Very well appointed, clean, neat and tidy with a lovely decor. The beds were comfy.
Tricky to find the entrance when approaching by car. On the high street so a bit noisy with passing traffic.
7.0 / 10.0
Everywhere was very clean, the room was very comfortable
Wi-fi very poor, no chance of watching anything without constant buffering. No hot tap water in the bathroom, toilet or kitchen. Late email with instructions of how to get into the property meant I spent 20 minutes trying, just as well it wasn't raining.

A good selection for breakfast and the kitchen well appointed.
A little noisy although it was a Saturday evening

It was clean, well decorated, there was sweets, pop, bed was comfy. Richard communicated clearly how to access property.
There were no staff on site. So one of the rooms had a guy who had folk in and out the room (dealing or knew a lot of people) then he and a few others had a party with loud music from midnight until 6.15am (when I’d left), brought a kids motor bike in, threw breakfast all over the kitchen, eggs on the stairs and crashed about, breaking things and fighting (was how it sounded). There were no staff or anyone to support (contacted Richard, no response until the evening of the following day). Police were shut. Shared toilet had been used by folk- vomit and waste. I was on top floor, was cornered in the kitchen (by a intoxicated person with blood on his face) . So grabbed an orange and left to walk on beach (it felt safer being outside at 6.15am).
No one appeared to need an ambulance , the noises were violent and unclear if this was the case, or if any furniture was broken.
Richard’s response was there was an incident, and they would send a refund as a good will gesture.
Refund was £8.40. I spent £161 on two nights (£6 insurance), as the refund gesture felt like a smack in the face. I went there for a quiet holiday and experience this violence, lack of sleep in the hotel.
I spent all night awake in fear as a single female, glad I was not there with children, vulnerable family members . I would not recommend this place at all. No one should experience this, especially alone. Nairn is a quiet place, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable saying staying at this guest house was safe after this experience. This did not appear to be an isolated incident at all. Sorry, this is the first ever negative review in the 20 years I’ve used booking.com. Being safe is priority. No matter how clear or fancy the place is. Safe is more important and I felt safer on the street, than I did in this guest house. I hope this changes.

It was decent, very basic.
The room had a creaky window & the carpet wa in poor condition.

Very nice establishment. Was like walking through the wardrobe into narnia. Didn’t think much of the outside but got through that door and it felt quaint and calm and somewhere else just what was needed.
Absolutely nothing

Breakfast was provided for free so dont pay extra for it on booking.com. however it was just cereals, milk and hot drinks
Some staff would have been useful

Loved our stay at this lovely cosy place. Very clean freshly decorated with a lot of attention to detail. Cosy very big rooms with lots extra( xbox, sweeties, cakes, cold drinks).Good location and very reasonable priced especially in high season.
Wish windows were opening.

Host was easily reachable by phone when I arrived (fairly late).
Parking was a bit annoying, so I would say double check the area when staying here. I ended up on the high street. Which is fine for a night, but if you were staying longer, then it may become an issue.
I loved how welcoming the host was, left loads of snacks and bit out for breakfast, has Netflix and an Xbox to use, bathroom was great, towels laid out. All in all, cannot knock the place. Would go again.
Parking, but that would be being picky, I would recommend double checking the area for parking before you go.

What breakfast ? There where limited choice of tea and coffee not much sugar available, little choice of cereals a small selection of fruit not much in the room .it was clean and tidy the high street at Nairn was right out side. the room , it was very noisy until the early hours both nights , my last night I was woken at 3: 25 am by some of the guests and by the owner who were talking and banging about to wish I opened the room door and had to ask them to quite it down , if you want a quiet relaxing stay this is not the place to go , it was expensive for room only and will definitely not stay there again
Consideration and more food choices for breakfast or charge for the room only

Nothing
Misleading description on the detail page, I booked for 2 nights and checked out after staying one night, there was a takeaway downstairs, and very loud, nothing like the photos, the room I had was tiny it was noisy and my wife and I didn't sleep at all and checked out next morning, How can booking.com allow this, I will indeed be taking this further with Booking.com, I have also read other reviews after this experience and seen similar reviews

Clean, well located plus our family room was next to the wc and shower area so didn’t have to walk far will stay again as Nairn is our new place.
As property is on the main street and we stayed at the weekend it was noisy and the windows rattled a bit as they were older style sash but was quiet on the Sunday.

Very nice host, really helpful. He did his best for us to have a pleasant stay. Rooms are confortable and very clean
The shared bathroom and toilets were really clean, although not on the same floor.

I was mislead by the picture on the webiste, which I never saw. Also not realized gents & bathroom are shared. My own fault, I must admit. But the room was clean and I slept well thanks to soporific.
Very noisy place, in the main street, just in front of the city council => soporific mandatory!
Also, not easy to find the property. No one to talk to. Had to send email to get the code to open the front door. A bit difficult after a long drive.
