Breakfast was lovely, receptionist lady was lovely. The room and bathroom were large and had all everything we expected.
The heating was on but it was still cold. The bed is not comfortable. White blinds and no curtains so awake with the sun in the morning.

Room was smaller than expected and the decor could be freshened up.

Funky old school boarding house vibe with a great breakfast.
The street noise for rooms on the main road was very aggressive but fine after about 1:00am

Great hospitality and food was exceptional.
Car park was very small and it's entrance was awkward. However there was plenty of parking in the street.

The room was okay. Nearly clean. Nice mattress.
Everything else.
We parked in the car park, which was a gravel mess. Unkempt, weeds.
The back of the building was dirty and unloved.
Paint worn away from woodwork over many years.
A rundown abandoned property came to mind.
Entering the building, we were hit by the smell.
The accumulation of years of dirt and feet on the carpet made all the communal areas stink. I am not exaggerating!
The wallpaper and paintwork were ancient and unsightly.
The front of house lady (owner?), was miserable when we arrived and at breakfast.
The bexroom was okay.
For breakfast we went in to the restaurant, the conservatory.
The full breakfast was 3 fried eggs, hard fried, 1 deep fried tasteless sausage, 2 nice strips of bacon, watery baked beans and warm bread that was allegedly toasted.
The conservatory was dirty. Very. The floor was dirty chipboard and the roof seemed to be held in place by expanding foam.
In the hallway was a framed newspaper article from 2006 proclaiming how wonderful the place was...get this one printed and on the wall.
I kept expecting to hear the voice of Cordon Ramsey shouting and swearing at the owners and then his team rushing in to gut the place and start again. Unfortunately not.
The owners/chef clearly have no interest or passion for this place and should retire asap and stop inflicting this place on the public.

Incredibly nice lady that dealt with me during my stay (sorry, I didn’t get your name). Very polite and warm welcome, made me feel completely at ease. The room was clean, everything you'd expect was there and clean. Breakfast was served and again, same lady was incredibly polite and offered me breakfast and a hot drink, but I just had juice. The breakfast itself was perfect and then check out was easy. Would much rather find these gems of small local businesses and be made to feel like I mean something to them than go to a large chain of hotels and be made to feel like a number. Fantastic stay, thank you.
You could say it's slightly dated decor wise, but it's the hospitality that counts for me so it wasn't a problem

Fabulous hotel. We were made to feel very welcome from arriving until we left. The room was big and very clean and the bathroom had a great shower and was light and airy. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. There was a lot of attention to detail in the hotel. The breakfast was hot well cooked and good quality,
We ate in the Italian restaurant downstairs in the evening and the food and service was fantastic. The portion size of all the food was very generous. I would definitely return to this hotel and restaurant.

Evening meal and cooked breakfast were both first class and very enjoyable. The staff were all excellent at their jobs and very well mannered. All the staff were very attentive and they also had a first class knowledge of the area. Given the chance I will return.
As I am slightly disabled, my next visit I would request a lower floor as I struggled a wee bit with the stairs.

Clean and comfortable room, in the middle of Nairn and close to everything. Everyone was very nice, friendly and helpful.

The room at the Aurora was perfectly fine and in line with what I expected for the price. It's not a high end hotel, but it isn't priced that way either. If you are looking for a clean room, at great value, with really friendly people greeting you, this is a good choice in Nairn. Plus, the restaurant is very good - I ate there two nights and really enjoyed the Italian meal each time.
Parking was a bit of a challenge as the car park for the hotel is small and somewhat awkward to get into. I ended up parking on the street next to the hotel and that was fine.

Great location. Good price. Nice staff.
I feel within this process point the hotel could still offer some basics better. A single, very thin, old pillow is disappointing. The slat blind was very old and basically let the light on. In summer in Nairn this means your room is light most of the night.

Good value for a one night stopover. Handy location on main road through Nairn. Decent, fresh cooked breakfast included. Friendly staff.
Basic accommodation, I stayed in attic conversion room and the lay ins made the room feel small. Venetian blinds could do with a clean too, although the rest of the room was clean enough. Overall the property needs redecoration but this is reflected in price of room.

Location was handy and parking was good.
Walls in bedroom were filthy, strings on Venetian blinds were black with grime, table was wobbly, dirt around the shower switches, shower pressure non existent.

Everything was perfect for us. Clean and comfortable and a good location.
Everything was alright.

Our top floor room was quite noisy in the early morning, being on the main road from Inverness to Aberdeen. The venetian blinds did not block much light, and sun-up in northern Scotland in summer is very, very early, so bring eye mask and ear plugs. The two flighrs of stairs will tax the unfit, so pack lightly. The shower cubicle is small, and will be a tight squeeze for those who are big-built. Breakfast was excellent….freshly cooked and tasty, with really good coffee. The car park is……bijou…..but overall the hotel is good value for money. Just don’t expect The Ritz!
Room was too light and quite noisy.,

Location was great, very near to the bus station.
Accommodation was a bit basic and the dinner price was quite high. Having said that, the price was quite low for the room.

Shower controls unusual for us and difficult to control temperature

The breakfast was more than ample with a wide range of choices, full Scottish cooked breakfast or continental and tea or proper coffee from the Gaggia machine.
We dined in the restaurant and the food was superb and of generous proportions, particularly the salumi misti!

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. There was safe and plentiful free parking near by if hotel car park full.
I would like to have tried dinner at the hotel but our stay was too short.

Very friendly hosts, delicious dinner!
Shower had Kneipp-characteristics: hot/cold/hot/cold, but probably we just had a wrong timing (and it did have the positive Kneipp-effect:)).
