A welcoming and comfortable B&B in the heart of Nairn

We had a wonderful stay at Tali Ayer in the heart of Nairn. From the moment we arrived, David made us feel so welcome – he is a genuinely friendly and attentive host who clearly cares about his guests’ comfort. Our room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, which made it easy to relax after exploring the area. The location is ideal – just a short 5-minute walk to Nairn’s high street, with shops, restaurants, and the beach within easy reach. Breakfast was a real highlight. The quality was excellent, with plenty of choice, and they went out of their way to provide thoughtful vegan options for both my wife and me, which we really appreciated. Overall, Tali Ayer is a charming B&B that combines comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality. We would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Nairn and would definitely stay again.

To be fair and balanced, the only point of confusion was wondering if we were in the right place! A small sign at the door would have helped! This is really nick-picking though!

Exceptionally clean and comfortable with delightful hosts.

The room was exceptionally clean and although small very comfortable. The entire property is well maintained, close to plenty of meal options. The breakfast is lovely and the hosts are very welcoming. Very happy to have a small fridge in the room which is not common. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perhaps an upgrade to the tv in the room.

Staying at Dali Ayer's was one of the best experiences of my life

Staying at Dali Ayer's accommodation was one of the best experiences of my life. The Scottish manor house is privately run by David and Rowena. It is furnished in an informal, cosmopolitan and adventurous way that we have rarely seen before. The rooms are extremely clean and the surroundings are wonderful. While the housewife prepares an excellent breakfast with a large and delicious selection, the landlord offers gentlemanly service, great small talk and wonderful experiences from his wonderful life. I can strongly recommend everyone to visit Tali Ayer.

Outstanding in every way!

Stayed here for one night as my husband was golfing in the area. Could not have chosen a better place to stay. What a team David and his wife (Rowena) are! David is such an interesting man - with a sense of humour - but his life experience stories are just so interesting. He's keen to let you know that his wife (Rowena) works very hard to give guests a first-class experience. The rooms are beautiful. We had a large room overlooking the garden. Large comfortable bed with beautiful crisp cotton bedlinen. Large bathroom. All immaculate in presentation and cleanliness. The house is beautiful with a lounge area for guests too. David will recommend places for eating in the evening. We had a lovely meal in the place he recommended for us. Now get the breakfast. I have never had as much choice in a breakfast. You can have whatever you like and you preorder the evening before. All beautifully cooked by Rowena. Cannot praise this place enough. So glad we stayed here and highly recommend to others.

This B& B exceeded our expectations. David and Rowena were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. David was extremely interesting and well travelled and was a joy to have a conversation with. The breakfast Rowena cooked was excellent and very filling. Our rooms were amazing and very comfortable. All in all a wonderful couple of nights for all of us.

Well situated for accessing Inverness and Elgin by car and for exploring nearby historical sites such as Culloden and Cawdor Castle. Very friendly hosts who made beautifully presented and delicious breakfasts. They also provided gluten free toast which was wonderful (thank you!). The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable with nice bathrooms and amenities. It was also great to be so close to the seashore in order to take a walk in the morning by the water. Great place to stay and hope to visit again in the future!
