Perfect location
Wonderful breakfast

Excellent breakfast, good choice. Comfortable bed. Good selection of beers in the bar.
Rooms were a bit small but fine for one night. Live music (on a Saturday night when I was there), was heard softly in one of our rooms, nothing in the other (finished at 11:30) so if you don’t like live music maybe ask before booking.

Perfect location for visiting Nairn, Moray and the Highlands. Friendly, helpful welcoming staff. Cosy, cheerful bar and a truly wonderful breakfast. Very relaxed atmosphere throughout.
Parking is on the street, which didn't prove a problem.

we were greeted by a friendly member of staff on arrival and checked in and directed to our room, which we had stayed in before.
The bathroom was fully supplied with various soaps and gels. There were two complimentary bottles of water available for our use along with tea/coffee and a biscuit each. There was a generous supply of clean towels of various types.
The next morning we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to ur seat for breakfast. We were immediately offered tea/coffee, provided with a menu and showed where the cereals were located. We were then invited to order from the menu and additionaly order different types of toast. When it came the order was well cooked, tasty and filled the plate.
On check-out I was invited to comment on our stay by a helpful member of staff - which I did.
On entering the room we had a look around. Alhough we noted the positives detailed above, we also came across a number of less positive points. The details are as follows:
1. The clock on the mantlepiece did not work.
2. After less than ten minutes of operation, the TV stopped working, showing there was no signal.
3. Various wires were trailing down from the TV, disappearing behind the wardrobe.
4. There was a large dark stain on the carpet in front of the bed.
5. In the bathroom, above the sink, there is a glass shelf. It is quite possible/likely that a sink user who bends down could strike their head on the shelf. I did, but luckily I was bending down slowly. If more swiftly, I could have cut my head. A small shelf could be fitted to the left side of the sink.
6. The cold water tap needs to be tightened.
7. A number of the lights in the bathroom's ceiling did not come on when the switch was pressed.
Normally, we would have raised these matters with the hotel at the time. However, as we were going out for most of the night and leaving relatively early the next morning we decided to let things lie. However, I did mention most of them at checkout.
Although I have mentioned and given credit for the very positive staff aspects, the above taken together mean that overall we don't feel that the stay was value for money.

Staff were excellent, polite, helpful and attentive. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Lovely view from the restaurant over the Moray Firth. It's a cosy wee place and was excellent for my 3 night stay.
The bathroom door in my room would not stay closed, so I was a bit anxious that the steam from the shower would activate the smoke alarm. That is a very minor complaint though. Everything else was good.

Excellent breakfast choices. I had full Scottish breakfast & it was delicious. Dog got a sausage & welcome on lead in designated part of restaurant.
The location of this hotel is ideal for the beach!!

Windows were left open kinda cold although heated up very fast once radiators were turned on + (not criticism but might need to fix curtain rail)

View over the Links is beautiful. Bed very comfortable. Links Suite is lovely with an excellent bathroom and sitting area. Dinner was very tasty and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast could have done with some muesli and natural yoghurt.
There was a baseball cap left down behind the sofa in the sitting room which suggests the cleaning could have been a bit more thorough.
Shower in my elderly parents’ room was a bit temperamental.

Location great. Very helpful staff. Ample good quality breakfast. Great view from our room.
Bedroom was very tired. Curtains had holes in them. No parking, not a problem for us but would be at peak times.

Great location, could tell there have been nice renovations and upgrades in the last years.
The room was a bit cold and there was no way to adjust the temperature. Also the bathroom was very, very small... including the sink and shower stall. The water pressure was pretty low and the sink has a difficult time draining. But we also understand that this sometimes happens with older plumbing.

Enjoyed our stay , be back next year ,
Staff friendly facilities perfect and dinner and breakfast were great

Friendly staff, beach front location and nice bar. The breakfast was massive and it kept me going most of the day.
The only minor criticism was the room itself was really compact (tbf it's advertised as a small single) and I've slept in more comfortable beds. Otherwise a really good experience, I would definitely stay again. (And Nairn is lovely).

Location cleanliness
Very small room, very poor breakfast which was missing most of what was shown on the menu. Loud live music directly below my bedroom.

Clean and spacious with a superb view and location: right by the coast and only a couple of minutes from the centre of town. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
The room is quite basic but spacious and clean and with such a fantastic view and location, make it very good value compared to other accommodation in Nairn.

Breakfast and friendliness of the team was great. Accommodation very spacious and clean with lovely views. Nice to be able to have a dining area so that we could have a take-away. Nice to bring back drinks from the pub downstairs. Really appreciated the dog friendly nature of the hotel and its team.
Sofa beds were not comfortable for adults and therefore led to a disturbed nights sleep meaning that we were all quite tired when checking out. Shower was tricky to operate and front door was not easy to close.

Nairne is a lovely quiet town and the Bandstand is in a fabulous location adjacent to the beach, Fishertown and the high street. Staff where welcoming and the breakfast was very good.
Unfortunately the restaurant was closed (staff shortages?) because the menu looked interesting.

Superb live music. Excellent to see a venue promoting and supporting acts when so many don’t. I got a really courteous email warning me that there may be live music and offering to move my room. But I was able to enjoy the concert, and still couldn’t hear anything from my room.

Scenic location, good food for dinner and breakfast, comfortable bed, lovely staff
Difficult to access for tour van, shower not hot enough, very busy and noisy in pub

Room was very nice.
Breakfast was disappointing. Had no croissants, pain au chocolat, or fruit. All were “not available”. Coooed breakfast was ok but was surprised none of these other items listed on the menu were available.

Fantastic stay!! The room was spotless and well-appointed, and the food downstairs in the pub was excellent. Great location, too!
