Did not stay here

Once the owners found out that my wife and I were both women, the cottage was suspiciously unavailable. We booked around September time, and with 7 weeks until we were due to go, the owners called and spoke to my wife. They became very uncomfortable talking to her once they found out she was my wife, and then a day or 2 later they called us back to tell us that the place will be "unavoidably unavailable due to refurbishments". We received a refund quickly and booking.com were very helpful in assisting us with finding somewhere else and apologetic for our experience with this property.

Reasonably priced and central but needs work

The location was excellent. There was plenty of hot water and a good shower. The kitchen facilities were quite good if rather scruffy and dated

Every single cupboard in the bedroom and bathroom had junk in it and there was no logical system to storage so it was hard to find things. We were staying n Stratford-upon-Avon for my father's funeral and there was no clean and clear hanging space for our smart clothes. For example, there was a Christmas tree in the rather inadequate wardrobe. The wardrobe door was hanging by a thread. The standard of cleaning needs improvement. The downstairs living space is cold but the bedroom is too hot. We wouldn't return, but did appreciate somewhere reasonably priced to stay at short notice in Cheltenham week.

Wir würden trotzdem wieder kommen. Der Traum war immer ein eigenes Cottage in einer tollen Stadt!!!

Wir waren Selbstverpfleger. Die Lage ist phantastisch, näher am Zentrum geht nicht, und das im "eigenen" Cottage. Klasse!

Die Adressangabe hätte konkreter sein können (Paddock Place). Hätten wir als Deutsche schneller gefunden. Ausserdem war die Waschmaschine defekt.
