Accommodation had some nice touches on arrival and was in ideal location for the site seeing

Cottage was in a perfect location only a short walk into the town.
Had all amenities we needed and was clean, had all the plates, glasses, mugs, cutlery etc we needed. We also had coffee, sugar, tea and milk sachets left for us.
When any questions were asked the letting agency got straight back to me.
The cottage didn’t have central heating only portable heaters and panel heaters so was quite chilly when we got there and any time we switched off to go out or sleep but was cosy in there when warmed up.
No on site parking available so did have to pay extra to park, the car park directly behind was quite expensive at £18 a day to park so we found a car park a 2 min walk away for £14 for 48 hours at Grove House Car Park but did mean we had to walk through the town with our luggage.
The bed in our cottage had a dip in the middle so was very uncomfortable during the night as we sunk in the middle.

Perfect location
Needs a few tweaks, bedside tables, more drinking glasses not just wine glasses, be perfect for most, we have two elderly and poorly dogs so we struggle without fully enclosed garden.

It was very close to the centre and shops river etc which was very convenient and easy to park and walk two mins to the cottage.
I liked the fact it was an old building.
So it was cold the Saturday was quite chilly and I had to keep a hoody on inside the cottage. It has a water radiator but it’s not big enough for the room it needs two or maybe a fire. The TV has no channels had to log into apps like Netflix to watch any TV which I think for the money the TV should work fully and be updated it’s not the best.
Have to pay the room fee then the £100 deposit on top which I think is a lot. The coffee table had a screw sticking out at the bottom on the shelf really dangerous could catch your hand. Lots of exposed wires for the TV which need tidying up and sorting out. No coffee machine here. Bedroom has no wardrobe very bare could do with a small TV in there too as I would have sat in there as it’s a bit warmer. It doesn’t look like the photos the furniture was different. I recently stayed in a airb&b in York for £250 for two nights and it was such a high standard in comparison so I think this needs TLC curtains a rug and make it more homely a coffee machine and the doors with padlocks on don’t look great in kitchen lol
