Laburnum Cottages - 1BR, Heart of Town

Location was perfect, also parking was perfect and next door to the house

There was no none slip shower mat and the bath was too slippery to stand in. Also due to our age we found the stairs a problem.

First and foremost customer service is on point! Good communication, quick response, whether it was over the phone or online, service was great. Location is brilliant. Cottage was nice and clean, decent size. Maximum 3 people to stay comfortably. Tea bags, coffee sachets, milk sachets, washing liquid, sponge, soap powder provided. Kitchen is equipped with basic pots and pans, plenty utensils, cutlery, and enough tableware. Plenty plugs downstairs and upstairs. Good WiFi connection. Books and games also provided. Natural sunlight in the room, beautiful. Patio would look so pretty if they had some solar lights out there, maybe something to consider? Due to no sleep at, we were given a late checkout which we really appreciated.

The traffic noise at night is HORRENDOUS!!! Getting a good night sleep will be hard, unless you're a deep sleeper and oblivious to noise. Police Station next door, bright blue lights flashing into the bedroom. Bedoom could do with blackout curtains and sound proof windows. Though the kitchen is well-equipped, the utensils, cutlery and tableware was uneven. 1 wine glass and 1 drinking glass, but plenty mugs and plastic cups. No kitchen roll, or any kind of paper towels. Floors are uneven, tripped a few times. Bathroom is pretty small, could do with a touch up. Hot water in the shower didn't last long enough for a 2nd person and the showers door seal was broken. No lock on the door. Front door is a little tricky to close. Would I come back and stay here again, Yes. Purley because of the customer care, but I would ask for the cottage on the end as I'm hoping that would make a difference to the noise pollution.

Kitchen not adequately equipped for a weeklong stay.

In poor condition no cooker in kitchen the whole cottage needs updating bathroom was in very poor condition bath taps rusty, basin cracked and plug hole rusty. Cottage next door had been updated and looked very nice from what we could see through the window but we could only see downstairs.
