Feel at home

The 2 bedroom house is a home. Vintage with a modern touch. Artistically appointed. Supplied with all that one needs. Lovely private small garden. A generous welcome pack awaited us. Location near the river is ideal, also, short walk into town. We would definitely choose this home again. Lorraine, the owner is very friendly and spent time to explain things. This is one of the nicest properties I have stayed in.

Just to be aware, the stairs are a little steep.

What a find!!!!

Well what can I say but thanks for having us in your beautiful home. You made us feel like it was our home. Excellent facilities and Lorraine and Jonathan just made it for us. The bed is so comfy, with the duvet you only dream about. We definitely had some laughs, can't wait to see you next year. If you've never been then your missing out on a great place. Kev was very happy he had somewhere to park as well lol. Definitely be back soon.

What a lovely clean house with the perfect location and to be met by a lovely charming host to guide us around the house and give us directions and knowledge of places to visit. Also supplying milk, butter, bread, biscuits, etc which was a nice touch. All this with a lovely well maintained private garden and off road parking which is ideal as finding road parking would be a challenge. This house has loads of character and a short walk to the lovely riverside also a short walk to the town centre highly recommended and wouldn’t hesitate to book again if/when visit Shrewsbury again.

Stunning stay ,home from home !!

EVERYTHING!!! Stunning home, everything you could need or want . Close so close to the town either by river walk or roads nearby. Coffeehouse galore, restaurants everywhere and great shops . Lorraine gave a lovely welcome and left biscuits and crisps

Gorgeous character property in a perfect location

This is a really lovely house about half a mile from Shrewsbury centre. It's full of character and we fell in love with it as soon as we walked in. It includes off road parking and a private garden. Has all the facilities needed and even a pint of milk and some snacks / bread on arrival.

We had to leave at the end of our stay!

It’s a very comfortable home, right up the river walk from the city centre. Having the kitchen was great, and there’s a grocery store within a 5-minute walk. Walking along the river is great—lots of nice people with their dogs and in easy reach of restaurants, shops, etc.

Lovely house a short walk into town

Location was great - a short walk along the river pathway into town. Lovely comfortable house with everything we needed, including soft towels! Parking is obviously an issue in Shrewsbury so having private off road parking was essential. If in Shrewsbury again we would definitely look to book this house again.

I'll be going back.

Beautiful location 50 yards from the river Severn, with the Severn walkway/cycleway alongside the river. This is a nice 20 minute walk into Shrewsbury town centre, just be aware the last150 yards from the river to the town is a steep uphill plod, great going back though! Used the cottage as a base to visit Shropshire's many tourist spots and as an angler it was great to WALK to the river to fish (and it's only £8 per day).

Lovely couple of days in Shrewsbury with friends

The house has everything you could ask for and is a short walk from the town centre. Loraine, the host is a lovely lady and provides lots of information and on the two nights we were there we followed Loraine's advice and went to Avatar, an Indian/Nepalise restaurant and was the best Indian restaurant we have eaten in for a very long time. On our second night we went to the Golden Cross restaurant that exceeded our expectations too.

A delightful place to stay when visiting Shrewsbury

This house was absolutely gorgeous. It’s located right by the river and easy walking distance into Shrewsbury town. The private parking was a massive bonus but the whole place was lovely. Nicely decorated, clean and cosy. Lorraine is a wonderful host who left us a few treats on arrival and even put up some banners as it was my dad’s birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for her, she gave us recommendations of places to eat and made sure we had all we needed. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. It was a perfect weekend away!

Comfortable, quiet and convenient

The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. It was close to town (there is a lovely walk along the river) and with a takeaway and shop a five minute walk away. Everything was spotlessly clean and Loraine was a friendly and responsive host. There is off road parking, which is unusual for the area, however while it was fine for a small hatchback, it is worth noting that it would be too small for anyone visiting with a bigger car. The location was quiet and we all had a good night’s sleep in very comfortable beds. It is also close to the Flaxmill Maltings, which is well worth a visit. It is a property we would try to book again when we are in the area.

We loved our short break at River walk. The owner Loraine was super friendly and communicated with us from the outset. She met us at the property and showed us around which was lovely and gave us some local tips. The house is very homely and has everything you should need for a comfortable stay. The welcome pack was very thoughtful and grateful. The attached parking was a bonus and the location being seconds from the river and the walk into town was perfect.

Stunning Shrewsbury stay.

Stunning clean house, the most comfortable beds ever!! The owner left us a cracking welcome package of tea, coffee, crisps, bread and snacks, very polite and lovely lady. The house was perfect for our needs, very homely and exceptionally clean and fresh. Slippers were provided, plenty of clean towels and toiletries were also available.

Great location and a cosy retreat at the end of a day exploring.

The property was cosy and homely. It had the facilities we thought we would need during our 4 day stay. The hosts kindly left us some provisions to get us started without the need to rush out and find a shop, much appreciated. We all loved the location for ease of access into the town of Shrewsbury. There was a cold snap and our host checked in to make sure we were warm enough and happy with the heating. We were roasty toasty 😃.

The step into the bathroom upstairs! I forgot about it on the first night and stumbled into the bathroom nearly falling over. We ended up keeping the light on in the night to remind me. There is also a step down into the kitchen. The television in the living room is not fixed to a wall. It is placed on a stool and could possibly be a danger if there are young children in the house.

Beautiful cosy home in Shrewsbury.

Beautifully furnished home. Cosy and immaculate. Great location within easy walking distance to the main part of Shrewsbury and lovely river walk. Kitchen has everything you would need and the owner had left a welcome gift of food staples which we were very appreciative of as we had a late arrival. Bed, pillows and beautiful linen made for a very comfortable accomodation experience.

Such a lot or character - more spacious than expected and SO comfortable. Lorraine is a great host who goes out of her way to ensure you are comfortable. The town was a short walk away and Shrewsbury is lovely for shopping / dining/ coffee. It was just perfect for two friends who don’t get to see each other that much, for a couple of nights quality time together.

We didn't expect any breakfast but the host left us Bread Milk Butter Tea Fruit and Cornflakes. It was a great gesture. I could not fault the whole experience. The location was great with the River Severn just a stones throw away. Stunning.

Beautiful home from home

The house was beautiful the parking space a advantage managed to get a ford ecosport in our friends parked in the street. All clean throughout felt like home. Lovely quiet area. Lovely little garden you can sit out in .All amenaties worked great and would definitely stay again if we come back.
