Perfect location and ability to park for free. Great property to stay at with everything we needed for the 4 days we stayed. Contacts available for any problems. Definitely stay again
...cant think of anything...... silly thing really, not much space when getting out of bed...

The house is in a perfect location for accessing Shrewsbury, town is a 10 minute walk away. Train station is just around the corner (3 minutes) and the main bus station is just across the road. House is very comfortable and can’t fault it really
The house is quite old so some of the floor boards can be creaky, but to be fair, the host does mention this in the welcome mail. Oh other issue we had was with the top floor bedroom window, it didn’t shut fully so was draughty and a bit noisily,

The location is perfect for exploring Shrewsbury. The property had everything we needed and it felt very homely.
We stayed on a Sunday night so it was nice and quiet, however with a pub within a very short distance I imagine it might be a bit noisy on a Friday or Saturday night.
I would still stay here though 😊.

The location was excellent, close to the railway station, shops, bars, restaurants, theatre and river. Kitchen was well equipped. We both slept very well.
It didn't have a hairdryer. I know this is a minor issue but everyone provides one these days and I was travelling by train and it was an extra item I had to pack. The 5 page of notes needs to be reworked. Its not easy to read!

Too many stairs but was late booking and little choice

The location is superb , close to everything. Shops bars ,restaurants. The view from the lounge and bedroom of the river was lovely. Secure parking. It's is also a really quiet location so nothing will disturb your sleep 😴 The accommodation is well appointed and the host a good communicator, we were lucky to be able to park up early because no-one was in the accommodation the day before, so we were allowed to park up saving us a parking fee on the public car park. We would most definitely return if we were to stay in Shrewsbury again 😃
1 ring on the hob wasn't working but it didn't cause any real problems, the seat cushions on the sofa were a little too soft for us as we sank into them ,making it a little difficult to get up but that's personal taste . And some outdoor seats would be nice ,because the weather was absolutely perfect and it would have been nice to sit outside with a coffee or a drink .

The house is quirky but endearing; it's centrally located, near both bus and train stations, and all Shrewsbury's attractions are in walking distance. It's well-equipped and pleasantly furnished and decorated. The user guide prepared by the owner is detailed and clear. All in all, we'd very likely come again.
By the morning we were to set off, Booking.com still hadn't sent the email giving the keysafe code etc, but had sent a repeat of the confirmation email instead. This resulted in my being angry with the owner, whose fault I mistakenly took it to be.

Bathtub presents a potential hazard when using shower, slippery and not easy to get out safely.

I would suggest the kitchen could be better equipped- coffee canteen - washing up liquid - salt/ pepper.

Could have been a little more homely. Great area though to stay.

It was a really nice place to stay, very comfortable and in a very central location. We were impressed!
There was no hairdryer so I had to bring my own, although to be fair this was mentioned in the instructions sent to me before the trip. If you want to use the parking space you have to pay a refundable deposit and get the parking pass from the property, so it's a little more involved than just turning up and parking in a space provided.

Very nice little house. Very cosy. Very clean.
Was ideal for us as we were ghost hunting at Shrewsbury prison was was only a 7 minute walk away.
Bathroom door wouldnt shut properly and no lock on bathroom door, and also bought fresh bread but when got back to house there was no bread knife to cut it. Nothing major thou.

Self catering. Location was central to Shrewsbury shops, attractions, historical sites and train station so walkable to all we wanted.
Struggled with television controls. Managed to watch on line rather than live TV. Would have liked to have information about how to recycle, plastics, paper etc and where to put them for collection.

Check in could be earlier and a later check out just an extra hour would be good

loved the location. It was clean and comfortable. it was peaceful and we would definitely stay again. we really enjoyed our stay at Old Meadow Cottage. Thank you!
It was difficult for my 75 year old mother to open the skylight in the bathroom without a pole and she was unable to use the step provided.
It would have been nice to have some basic cooking items such as oil, salt and pepper in the kitchen! Also some warning about the very, very sensitive smoke alarms- that go off when you open the oven / make toast! (nothing was burnt!)
I think because we were arriving by train when I was sent the very long information email it had a long missive about parking to begin with I just thought that was what it was about and didn’t read on. it might be worth mentioning in the email title that it is actually the handbook and ALL info you need is in there so read on!
This feedback is purely constructive! We really had such a lovely time and our stay was fab!!

very clean and comfortable, the bed was very comfortable! located in the middle of Shrewsbury and included a parking space!
It’s set over 3 floors with the shower/bath being on the top floor, which I didn’t mind but might be a problem for some.

Situated in the town and good for all amenities. we weren't bothered by the traffic noise at all.
its very well equipped and spotlessly clean
This is a self catering three story town house, not a cottage, so don't be fooled by the description, there are a lot of stairs. Perhaps some casserole or glass ovenware would be a good idea. The instructions for finding the property weren't good for us. Our satnav took us on a 1 hour countryside ride. I eventually entered The Beaconsfield Club and we managed to find it then.
