Clean, comfortable house in a great location

Great location, good size bedrooms, spacious well equipped kitchen

Only one tea towel and 2 dishwasher tablets! Please consider leaving more cleaning/washing up products and also a sweeping brush

The location makes this a great place to stay, but only one bathroom for a full house.

The location is outstanding and the property quiet for a city house.

The house was not well equipped for the 8 people it sleeps. One kitchen towel, one hand towel in the single bathroom, no wash basin in the WC. Dining table seats 6 and sitting area seats 4. The parking is tricky - advertised as for 4 cars in reality it is a narrow pathway next to the house with room for 4 cars nose to tail at a push. The main problem is that neighbouring houses rubbish bins are down the pathway and if a car is parked there is no room to bring the bins out. We were asked by neighbours to leave the paasge clear and so had to park in the public car park next door. This is not a problem. but the house description should be clear.

Clean and in a good location Booked as was attending a wedding nearby, although we parked the car at property, we didn't actually go in until much later. We didn't get to really use the property other than a bed for the night but found everything to be excellent.

Very pleasant house, well equipped, excellent location - traffic noise a possible issue

Excellent location. 10 minutes walk to very centre of the beautiful and historic town, right opposite Abbey, etc. Nice house, very clean, large kitchen, well equiped. Bedding, towels etc all seemd to be good quality and spotless. 4 double bedrooms, large bathroom with bath and shower, small living room and sepaarte small dining room. Good comms - very detailed - from owner. There is 3 hour free parking (8am to 6.30pm - available outside those hours too of course) ) right outside which we used without any problem finding a space, so fine if you are out during the day - also large car park behind property. House was siurprisingly cool in the 30C heat! All in all, we were very happy.

It is on a pretty busy road, no double glazing, so traffic noise might be an issue for some. Bring earplugs..Only one bathroom (and a ground floor small loo) so fine for 3 of us, might be a struggle if there were 8 in the house. There appears to be an ongoing argument with neighbours about whether parking is allowed in the side alley. but see above for alternatives. Small 'yard' at the back but not really any usable outdoor space. Nothing in the way of store cupboard items or 'personal touches' which you might get in some Airbnbs - just basic tea, coffee and a few little cartons of UHT milk. So bring all your own stuff if you are going to cook. But so many good eating out options in town we didn't worry about that!

Great house noisy at night.

The house was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our trip. The bathroom was a great size and it was a bonus to have two toilets with lots of people. Could benefit from salt and pepper.

The front bedrooms were very noisy with the roads and we needed ear plugs to sleep. The children struggled lots sleeping due to the traffic which was constant all the time being a main road for the town. The bed in room 4 was extremely hard and the pillows too big meaning I had a crick in my neck the next day. The other beds were fine apart from the noisy road. Could do with new windows, would make it a little quieter. In there

Good amount of space, but tired facilities, uncomfortable beds and parking not as advertised.

It was well stocked with basic items for the kitchen, clean and a good amount of space for a family.

Unfortunately the beds were very uncomfortable and the house felt very tired and old overall. The fans were requested were there, but 2/3 didn’t work during the night. And crucially, the parking was not as advertised- it was deceitful to share an email on the morning of our trip to say there are issues with parking.

Comfortable, accommodated two families easily and was an ideal base for us.

Attention to detail - some of the lightbulbs in the bedside lights didn't work, there was a piece of broken glass in the dishwasher, there was a wet towel in the bathroom.

Location and cleanliness

Marketing of property was misleading, we did not know it was a basement flat. Steps were steep, parking was difficult, bed was low and uncomfortable, pillows and mattress too soft. Sofa was low and uncomfortable. Kitchen way too small and not like the photos advertised.

Good location with public car park next door. House access very straightforward. Spacious property.

Very basic without any ‘home touches’. Bare minimum I would say which for the price was a bit of a surprise. Small touches would go a long way. Also dishwasher was full (clean but unemptied) on arrival so took ages to find mugs!

There was a smell which I think came from it being in a basement ?. The property was very small which would have been ok but the advert was misleading as it didn’t describe this.

Arrived on Wednesday evening before bin collection the following morning, so was unable to park at side of property as advertised because neighbours needed access to move bins from rear to front for collection. Bathroom hand basin drain was blocked. No broom or vacuum available.

A gem in Shrewsbury

Very cosy, clean and well equiped. Instructions regarding access and facilities very good. Central location makes it easy to get to pubs and shops. Parking useful with overflow in public car park if needed.

Would be nice to have another bathroom for tha number of people staying.

Tiny but clean and comfortable. Close to Town.

We stayed in the basement flat. It had everything we needed but all in miniature version. The place is tiny but clean and comfortable. Please note that on site Parking is only included for the house above and NOT for the basement flat (booking.com listing is a bit misleading on this point). Having said that there is ample very cheap parking at a public carpark that is separated from the flat by only one building and very convenient. Hosts we’re very helpful and excellent detailed instructions are provided on how to use everything. Excellent location with easy walk into Shrewsbury town centre. Couldn’t get TV remote to work.

front of the house can get a little noisy with road traffic and one of the mattresses was a little lumpy but that’s being extremely picky. this is overall a fabulous property to stay in.
