Meadow Terrace

Quirky comfortable central property. Bedrooms on ground and 2nd floor; top one has a gap above window so is noisy/draughty. Bathroom on 2nd floor. Kitchen equipment basic: no dishwasher, draining rack, chopping board or cheese grater, and badly scratched non-stick pans, so not great for self-catering though Shrewsbury is good for eating out. The property was (and is) advertised on Vrbo as check-in 4 pm, check-out 11 am. We were told on check-in day that it would be 3 pm/10 am, but when I protested the agency said we could check out by 11. Also the property was (and is) advertised on Vrbo as having two parking spaces, but we were told that same day that it only has one. Plus the instructions I was sent that day say "Only one car per booking is allowed in the car park at any one time" which meant the person who arrived second couldn't even stop for five minutes to unload, and there is nowhere nearby to do that. This seemed unnecessarily strict especially as the car park was virtually empty the whole time. See photo. We had to give a refundable 25 deposit for the parking badge (home-made laminated paper) and I had to ask several times for the payment link because it didn't come through on Vrbo. The refund was quick. Instructions are sent digitally, not in a file at the property, and there are a LOT, so make sure you have them on more than one device to avoid problems. The wi-fi was poor even with just one person using it: webpages wouldn't load properly, couldn't play videos.

The house was spacious and in an amazing location! Check in was easy and communication with hosts was top notch! Only wish we could have stayed longer!

Great accommodation for Our needs. We were attending an event at the Buttermarket and the location was a 5 min walk. Had everything we needed for our stay. Thanks :)
