Our stay.

Great location, just a few minutes from the town centre.

Property was a little tired, would benefit from a lick of paint and a deep clean, furniture was very dusty. However, the beds were very comfortable and clean.

Location was good for town , area was very quiet .

House was cold on arrival , problem with heating which was remotely controlled , to be fair on raising this with host boiler did come on and house warmed up but next morning same problem . Left a day early .

Big family house, cosy and comfortable.

Great 3-bedroom house with lots of space. The suite on the 2nd floor is a nice bonus. It’s a quiet area, and the private parking space is very convenient. Overall, a big and comfortable place to stay.

Conveniently located for a comfy overnight stay

Comfy beds. Good location. Easy check in. Spacious. Good communication from hosts. Tea & Coffee provided.

The cleanliness was an issue - it was pretty dusty and mouldy/dirty. The heating was controlled remotely so the house was very cold for a few hours after check in (a phone call got the heating turned on). The furniture and decor is a bit tired.

Disappointing

Spacious home near to town centre

Sparcely furnished,. Not enough space for family to eat at dining table Kitchen in poor state and not very clean. The glasses were stuck in a very sticky cupboard. Property sleeps 5 but only 4 dinner plates. Only wire racks to hang clothes - no proper wardrobes but thankfully we only stayed one night. Parking very tight - the average family people carrier struggles to get in and out when other residents have parked their cars. Very little other option to park locally. Sraff not very accommodating. Whilst it does state additional charges for early check in/out i would not expect to pay £30 to check in 3 hours early when the property was vacant the day before.

It was comfortable and the location was great.

The location is perfect, if you plan visiting and sightseeing in Shrewsbury.

The property was quite run down, and can do with some domestic repairs around the home. What was most striking is on first appearance, the property seems very clean, but it is very obvious whoever is doing the general cleaning around the house, does very little and is not thorough at all. A lot of dust, dirty sticky cupboards in the kitchen, and mould in the showers.. In fact, on the day of us checking out, whilst packing the car, the cleaner was already sat outside the property, inside her car at 9am! Waiting for us to leave at 10am checkout time. We left the Caron the car park and walked to the village. We got back 1hr later and she was already leaving the property.

Great location and price, but at the expense of comfort.

Large property for the price, great location, two full bathrooms and a separate toilet.

Beds were extremely squeaky and mattresses were super soft, poor quality, so you could feel every movement and therefore it wasn’t comfortable.

A very good base for our long weekend in Shrewsbury

The house was in an excellent location. A quiet residential area within easy walking distance of Shrewsbury town centre and the railway station. It was good to have a parking space for the car and an enclosed garden in which we could store our bikes. The house was also very clean when we arrived.

The kitchen was a little cramped and had we chosen to eat around a table indoors it would have been a bit of a squeeze. A dishwasher, together with a few extra pieces of crockery and cutlery, would improve the property even further.

Clean comfortable, quiet location but within walking distance of town centre, 7 mins to the abbey. It had its own parking space. It was well equipped and spacious.

The property especially the bedding was nice and clean. Comfy beds. It was a quiet neighbourhood too. Correspondence with the owner was great before . A nice property and good value.

In need of a clean and updating

Easy walk into the centre

Massively in need of a deep clean and some tlc. Everything felt sticky, the toilet seats had wee on them when we arrived, the sofas are solid, it smelt like a whole can on air fresher was used to cover up the smell of smoke. Lots of things falling apart, and overall a very shoddy house. This is a house people rent for a party or a lads weekend away, this is not a house for a family gathering.

2 night break

Pleased with the house with 3 bedrooms which was ideal for our stay. The beds were comfy and showers were fine.House was well equipped with a nearby parking place. Close to town about a 20min walk. Sunny garden to enjoy an evening drink.

Everything was fine. Minor issue was someone was in the parking space at 5pm so we parked in No. 30 as recommended by a neighbour but then asked to move next day which was fine since 27 was free. Unfortunately I was a dope and left my phone charger.

Very good as a base for our stay in Shrewsbury. Easy to walk into the centre with a supermarket close by, quiet and peaceful plus nice to have two bathrooms for the 5 of us. Responsive owner and reasonably priced.

Comfortable and conveniently located family home quietly situated near the centre of town.

It is a very comfortable location to arrive to especially after travelling a long way from western Canada. It is not at all cramped or that you have to 'make do', it is like arriving home. It is also very private and quiet yet exceptionally convenient to walk into the town centre. The fact that you have off road parking in a very secure space gives me great comfort when getting about in a hired (rental) car. A good pub nearby (Dun Cow) and an exceptional pub down Longden Coleham (not far away at all - Cross Foxes). For those that are not familiar with Shrewsbury this is an excellent place to stay in this most charming and still relatively undiscovered Shropshire gem.

This is not a major issue and as I know the area it was not a problem but as mentioned when arriving after a very long journey it would be nice to find milk in the fridge for tea or coffee and a supply of such. Also, I don't tend to travel with soap and this was in short supply. I have found that little touches like this mean a lot to me.

A sensible place to stay with a lovely walk into town.

This property was clean and well equipped and perfect for a weekend away. It was a shortish (15-minute) walk through a park and over the river into town.

It felt a little clinical (but some people like that). Virtually no pictures or anything to soften the atmosphere. But that's about it on the negatives...

A lovely three night stay in an interesting town.

Lovely comfortable house, plenty of room for three of us. Nice and warm all the time, and easy walk to town centre.

The front door lock was a bit difficult to work, the barrel was loose.

Good alternative to a hotel

Three bedrooms was ideal for our family two night trip, and having a loo on each storey was also really helpful.

The kitchen layout wasn’t great e.g. having the fridge behind the door was annoying. A slimline dishwasher would’ve been handy, but providing the stuff so we could wash up was good (we hadn’t packed that). We would’ve preferred one of the double bedrooms to have been a twin, but for two nights it was manageable.

House ideal for holiday break close to all travel amenities

The private area of where the house was situated, and with easy walking distance into town, close by to bus stops. Choice of two CAMRA pubs close by serving great ales and food all day.

No hanging mirrors in Bathroom or bedrooms, no recycling bins, no dishwasher. No tourist information i.e. local maps or tele numbers for taxi's, pubs or restaurants.

Very clean Friendly neighbourhood The location is just under a mile to the train station 🚉 but a lovely walk through the streets is very much worth it.
