Location was excellent and the Coach House had everything we needed for a great 2 night stay.
Excellent communication from the owner with a handy guide provided giving us hints and tips.

Such a lovely and unique little place in a quieter part of town (although shrewsbury is quiet in the main 🤣). Modern features. Beautiful kitchen area and little courtyard area to enjoy the outdoors when the weather is good. Heating is easy to control and very responsive
Only 3 bath towels were left for 4 guests. The settee and cushions are covered in stains and really need a clean. Fair few cobwebs and spiders about but appreciate they come with the area to an extent. A little more attention to clearing the webs away would make a difference

We cooked our own breakfast. Supermarket and other shops are quite close to the property.
Short of towels - we were four people, but there were only three bathtowels, and no small towels at all.

Absolutely lovely little place with bags of character. It's in a quieter part of town with plenty of local amenities including a pub, Indian restaurant, real ale bar, ice cream parlour and coffee shop. Short walk up hill in to town. Really good value for money and very easy booking process with great agent and communication. Provided with everything you need, towels, fresh linen, hair dryer, tea, coffee and sugar and 2 or 3 loo rolls. The terrace with the weather we've been having was a godsend. Plenty of mirrors available and tonnes of sockets
Not a lot to not like really. If I had to be picky I'd mention the cracked glass on the very old window in the back room and plenty of cellar spiders knocking about but it's in a very green and woody area so not surprised. Also fair bit of staining on the living room couches but everything else felt really fresh and clean and nicely decorated

No breakfast or provisions provided. Location was perfectly placed for walking to the town centre and attractions.
Lack of parking and a failure to mention this fact in the property write up. Washing machine provided but not clothes line or airer to dry clothes on. Self catering accommodation with an oven and cooktop provided but a small microwave would not go a miss. Toilet Cistern kept failing to refill after flushing. Bed and mattresses very uncomfortable. Toilet roll holder kept falling off the wall as not secured just merely hanging on plastic hooks. Window in bedroom dangerously cracked.

The location was excellent
Broken window pane in bedroom
Nowhere to hang wet towels
Shelf needed in bathroom
Check out was 11am. The cleaner arrived 9.55am and we felt pressurised to leave quickly. She stood outside front door waiting for us to leave.
We took luggage to car and came back for remainder. The cleaner had let herself in, leaving the front door ajar, whilst our belongings were still in the property. She was upstairs stripping the beds, making final checks to make sure we had packed everything impossible.
This was all very annoying as our booking was for a 11am check out.

The location, facilities and feel of the property were superb.
We loved everything. Only small minus was our towels did smell a bit damp but only a small issue that didn’t affect our stay. We loved it here!

The property was in a perfect location, very close to the town centre and literally a stones throw to the riverside. Property was very easy to locate and easy access, it had absolutely everything we needed. The outdoor space was very private. The host was easy to communicate with. We received our code for the property a couple of hours before we arrived. The parking was a little confusing at first, so you pay for st Julian’s crescent parking between 8am and 6pm. Overnight is then free, but you can go online (website on pay and display machine) and book to pay for tomorrow’s 8am to 6pm, at a cost of £12. No need for running out to the machine at 8am to put a ticket on. The host also provided an information folder which was very useful. Yes there was bare plaster on the wall in the living room, and a crack in a window upstairs, did it affect our stay? Absolutely not! We will definitely be back!
Nothing, we loved it and wished we had booked another couple of nights

The location was brilliant
It’s wasn’t cleaned when we arrived even though they came back and re done it abit. It need tlc and a deep clean in all areas. Dirty bags of laundry stored under the stairs!! Cigarette buts down the back of sofa and a stained and crumbled duvet put on the bed!

Location was absolutely perfect, 15 minute walk to everything we wanted. Had everything we needed and was fine for a short trip like ours. There is WiFi despite ad saying there wasn't. Quaint little house with character. Little one enjoyed playing in the courtyard.
Communication was a bit lacking. Didn't get access codes until 2 minutes before we shouldve been able to check in, not the day before as we were told. There was a part of the lounge wall caved in and unrepaired and some of the cookware was so badly scratched up it made it hard to use. Window in one bedroom had a smashed pane which was fine in summer but in winter would be very cold as they're old single glazed windows.

The location couldn't have been better. Quiet, but within walking distance of everything. The property had everything we needed.
The window in one of the bedrooms was quirky to open. The oven wasn't clean and there was a used baking tray in there when we went to use it.

The coach house was a delight to stay in. It’s perfectly situated to stroll around the township, exploring the historical sites, local op shops & eateries. In fact there is a great coffee & icecream shop across the driveway.
The coach house is beautifully presented. A period cottage with 2 spacious bedrooms upstairs & 2 comfy double beds. The shower & toilet is also upstairs.
It has all the mod cons in the kitchen, beautiful crockery, a TV, washing machine, hairdryer, wifi & little extras that
made staying so enjoyable.
We enjoyed sitting in the secluded courtyard - a delightful sun trap!
The coach house is tucked between two houses.
Walk past the White House with the red door on the left (it has 2 car parks outside it) to the door to the coach house with the bee brass door handle.
The coach house is a stone’s throw from the river, giving us wonderful opportunities for strolls along the riverbank.
The stunning Abbey church & St Mary’s church are only 6 mins walk away too.
We definitely recommend the coach house as a place to stay.
There’s nothing that I didn’t like about the coach house.

Perfect location: by the river, close to centre and cafe for morning coffee. Good to have a patio to sit out in the evenings.
Basic kitchen facilities but adequate for 2 people, eg only 2 mugs. One bed very squeaky and couldn't open one bedroom window. The other wouldn't close. Toilet seat needs fixing badly!

Great location perfect for a few days way thank you
Great information very helpful
A few minor things sofas where uncomfortable not enough space if there is four people in bad weather. Bedroom windows need repair and bathroom lacked shelf and extra hooks for towels

We had a lovely time in this beautiful holiday apartment. It was very cosy and clean - and the location is amazing. We especially loved the little courtyard and the storage space in the bedrooms. Definitely hoping to stay here again sometime.

Excellent location, comfortable beds and good outdoor space.
Only one roll of toilet paper. A little grubby in places. Bath mat had an insect infestation. Seating for eating for 4 would have been difficult.

The setting was ideal, a perfect location.
A helpful host who was available on the phone if needed.
Nice crockery and glasses etc
The decor was good but there was a crack in one of the bedroom windows. This is an interesting property in an historic setting with a sash window, so it is understandable that repair could be tricky. It wasn’t a real problem at all, just a little disconcerting.

My partners family stayed here whilst visiting my home town Shrewsbury. The lovely host allowed us to have an early check in meaning they could explore our wonderful town without the hassle of carrying their bags with them. Great host and home with the a perfect location. Would recommend to others!

Nothing to not like but the addition of a microwave would be great

Beautiful little cottage, immaculate, and perfectly located. Gorgeous little courtyard to enjoy drinks in nice weather. Comfiest beds ever, slept like a log! Host Jess was very helpful, thanks Jess!
Maybe a few more towels would be good (only one per person, an extra smaller one would be handy for us girlies to dry our hair).

Perfect cottage for a mini break with family. Perfect space for the three of us. Clean. Fab location. Will definitely use again in future.
Little niggles - double beds tiny but it is a character cottage. Still comfy though! Small kitchen bin not large enough for more than one night's stay.

it was perfect for our needs.
location was excellent,
No negatives at all
1.0 / 10.0
Location was convenient to walk short distance to town, but this also brought a lot of street noise during the night.
Beds were anysmal: saggy, soft and noisy, making it impossible to sleep. Accommodation was bitterly cold on arrival, to the point where the bedding and walls were cold to the touch. Some areas were not clean. Took hours to heat up (sat in coats) and even the following day the lounge still wasn't very warm. Insufficient space or equipment and the sofas were not comfy. Sleeps 4, but dining for 2 and very cramped downstairs. Pretty awful really as it looked nice, but a lack of sleep, comfort or warmth made for a pretty awful stay.

great location, short walk to restaurants, bars, shops and park. car parking vey close. it’s clean and comfortable.
very minor suggestions, a bin in the bathroom would be handy, and for those arriving at night it can be hard to find, would suggest either leaving the porch light on or point out it’s between the two white houses as in the dark it’s really hard to see the door. other than that perfect!

Beautiful cottage in a great location for Shrewsbury town centre, but also just off the main street so it was quiet and peaceful for our stay.
Great amenities and lovely decor, we really enjoyed our stay and already planning to stay there again in future
Especially liked the little Christmas tree and festive touches.
Because this is an older building, although beautiful it can be a little cold. We did stay during a very cold snap, and once we turned up the heating it did warm up, it just took a while to get warm due to the stone walls and single glazing. This is the nature of an original stone cottage though, we did not consider it an issue

Lovely little house in an amazing location - perfect base for a weekend in Shrewsbury. Right by the river and everything in walking distance.
