Welcoming, friendly, respectful staff

The welcoming of the employees, providing an umbrella as it was raining and assistance with the luggage. The room was upgraded from balcony suite to one with a private pool. The room was very clean, bed comfortable and the shower with rainfall head was very nice. Recommend the 15 minute free massage as well. The dinner menu was extensive and there were vegetarian options available. The breakfast was very nice. I had an issue with the TV remote and they resolved it quickly.

The location is somewhat away from the city centre but it has great views of the rice fields.

The Ning Resort was a wonderful stay. The place is even more amazing that the pictures. The room was spacious, staff was super friendly, welcoming and made out stay even more amazing. I would definitely recommend it to others and choose this location again if traveling in Ubud area.

The WiFi was inconsistent in the room. At times it would be connected but Internet would not be available. I noticed that it was much better during early morning hours so perhaps it was too many people on the network at other times.

A serene and beautifully designed retreat, perfect for peace, relaxation, and reconnecting with nature.

The resort has an exceptional design that blends perfectly with the jungle surroundings. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The pool and the view were absolutely stunning, creating a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were warm, attentive, and made the stay feel very personal.

Taxis doesn’t go to the hotel, this’s the only bad side.

Beautiful setting amongst the trees and paddy fields. Wonderful caring and attentive staff- could not be faulted. Lovely pool and spa spot. Watch the wildlife ‘swinging’ by!

Building work was taking place outside the main apartments, noisy to start the day. Overpriced for Indonesia. Extra bed for our daughter was the same price as an adult staying , and this was squeezed into the room- you had to crawl into bed from the front! Shame the rooms aren’t facing the paddy fields from a view pov? For a 5 star- lacking a few things in room- iron/ mini bar. Big slopes and lots of steps if you are not fighting fit!

Honeymoon was exceptional because of this resort!

This was our 2nd time staying at the Ning, and it was for our Honeymoon :) As always, the Ning was exceptional. Everything was perfect - from the moment the staff greets you, settles you to your room, and makes sure everything is moving smoothly, the Ning does it all, with grace. They even decorated our room with flowers for our Honeymoon, it was too nice of them. Not only did they do that, they ended up giving me a free massage when I tried to pay for it upon check-out. The staff here is what makes the Ning outshine other resorts.

Friendly staff, everything else average at best.

We liked the staff, they were very helpful and friendly.

The location was pretty remote and local taxi company’s control the area which means no Uber equivalent allowed. No shops in walkable distance for essentials like bottled water. The outside areas of the hotel were not as clean as photos on booking.com. Concrete was green in places and the floor drains looked muddy inside and smelt like stagnant water. Be aware that there are also lots of bugs around as the hotel backs onto the jungle. Food was average at best. I feel like the 5star rating of this resort is misleading.

A peaceful, high-quality retreat 🌸. the perfect place to relax, recharge, and feel truly cared for.

The resort is beautifully designed, very clean, and extremely comfortable. Having a private pool in front of the room was amazing 🏊‍♂️💦. The atmosphere is calm, safe, and surrounded by fresh air 🌿. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and dinner was excellent too (the fish was especially good 🐟👌). Staff service was outstanding , always smiling, polite, and genuinely caring. Special thanks to Era at the front office for the warm welcome and to Pande for being so kind and reliable. The free shuttle to Ubud center was very convenient, and we also appreciated being able to rent a motorcycle 🛵 and book trips directly at the resort. Location is perfect, only 10 minutes from Ubud, but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet.

With the hectic nature of Ubud and the traffic, it was a nice oasis away from the chaos.

Beautiful modern and incredibly peaceful. The staff were outstanding and the room was delightfully comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and extensive.

We have to wait over an hour in the hot sun for our ride back to the hotel one day due to double bookings and extreme traffic. More vegetarian options for dinner please.

Not a 5* Hotel - would avoid if possible

Breakfast and staff member yogi was really friendly and nice

- during our room cleaning service the staff reused a pillow case that my 6m old baby had vomited on - our sunbeds werent cleaned and were litered with bug droppings - there was used toiletries by other guests in thr same boxes we had opened - we were charged 90k IDR for an avocado used for my 6m old baby which was unreasonable for a 5 star hotel

The best hotel

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Ning for a week and it was absolutely incredible. Both of us think that this is the best hotel we ever stayed at. Is is very close to Ubud city center yet away from the noise and traffic. The rooms and beds are amazing. The pool area is lovely with a great view of the jungle. The food is amazing and all of the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Cannot recommend this resort enough.

A peaceful and comfortable resort with amazing breakfast and facilities—just be prepared for limited transportation opti

The rooms were very comfortable, and the resort had a small gym with two treadmills and basic equipment—enough to get a decent workout. Breakfast was à la carte and incredibly generous: you could choose two coffees, two juices, two main dishes, and one sweet dish, plus each person received a tray of bread and a tray of fruit. There was also a spa offering massages, and the pool was absolutely beautiful—perfect for relaxing. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay.

The only downside is the location. It’s about three kilometers from Ubud center, and walking isn’t really an option, so you need a taxi or motorbike. The resort offers a shuttle service three times a day to and from Ubud, but the last return trip is at 5:30 p.m., which can be limiting if you plan to stay out longer.

Lovely vibe, some structural needs lacking

gorgeous decor, especially plunge pool in villa. quite good sound isolation and peacefulness given the craziness of ubud. wifi was decent and hot water etc worked well - not always true of boutique/rural hotels. Live music at dinner was a charming touch. the stone paths, lighting, jungle, it’s all real! it’s all great!

the place was underwhelming on many basics/standards. no small washcloths provided (for showering/scrubbing); little refreshment towels provided at check-in (a usually nice resort touch) were visibly stained brown, rather unappealing. Food was overpriced for area (typical), but far below quality of local restaurants; in the provided breakfast, fruit was not fresh, bread was mediocre. barely any hangers in closet to store clothes. no hooks in shower-toilet for towel. Or anywhere actually. You will never have a hung-dry towel. two things bothered me worst: - location is close to ubud and i liked the retreat atmosphere, but you are not allowed to call a Grab due to the site/village location, so expect to pay 2x for a hotel car (and far more BS to book). If you walk out to get a grab, village taxi drivers kind of shame you. It’s a random location fail I had no idea about ahead of time. - in the villa we stayed in, the design is pretty but also awful: toilet is in the shower (!), door to the toilet is clear glass (!!), and the location is visible from villa entrance. So if you’re there on a romantic getaway with a partner, you will have to use audio cues if you want even visual privacy to poop. (Forget auditory privacy, it’s all there…)

Very Nice stay in Ubud

The room was big and Nice view to the jungle. BREAKFAST wawww super service. You Can Choose so many and they prepare it freshly for you. You had so many toast options with poached eggs or sweet options. The service is super. The staff is so kind and friendly. We were there for honeymoon and were not so happy from the first room and they immediatly upgraded our room. Also my lovely husband forgot the money in the safe (so we missed our flight to Singapore) but the staff helped us and brought our money and the cards. They were so professional to handle the situation.

Maybe the location. The road to the hotel is very narrow and it was not so easy for the drivers to ride. All by all it is ok

Impressive.. Very nice..

The resort exceeded our expectations. The food was great and the portions were enormous; the staff was helpful, the spa was great (with 15 minute complimentary massage), and the cleaning service was exceptional. It's half an hour away from the center of Ubud by car, and it's impossible to get there on foot since there are no sidewalks and the traffic can get wild. But the resort provides free shuttle that goes to and from the city three times a day, which is very convenient. You can also ask for an out-of-schedule ride for an additional charge.

Good hotel if you want ultimate peace and quiet. Not as luxurious as it seems and location is very remote.

- The rooms were spacious, clean and had access to Netflix/youtube etc on tv. - The infinity pool was quite cool and had good views into the forest. - The location was very serene at times and if you are looking for quiet with literally nothing to do, then this is the place for you.

- The property faces 2 ways.. the forest (which we didn't get), and a building site which works 7 days a week, starts early and finishes late! - This is not a 5 star resort in European standards (it may be in Asia). I have stayed in 2 other hotels in Bali in the past 2 weeks, 1 in Kuta and 1 in Sanur, both are cheaper, with lower ratings and for me they are far superior to this. It's the small touches lacking here, like only being allowed 2 bottles of water per day, this would usually be fine with me, however due to the hotels remoteness, the nearest shop is a 20 minute walk away up and down dangerous mountain roads. - There is literally nothing to do within the hotel grounds. You can sit round the pool, at the bar or in your room that's it. Ubud centre is around 15/20 minutes away (which isn't great), other than that the hotel offers nothing to entertain guests.

Everything was amazing honestly, the chef was very kind to make a special vegan menu for us. the spa heated pool maintanance was not done due to which we could not do sauna, howevver it did not affect our views towards the property.

The villa is beautiful, spacious and moderns amenities. The staff was amazing and friendly. The villa comes with an amazing dip pool, perfect to unwind and sip the Margs. I would recommend this beautiful resort nestled among the greeneries of Ubud
