If you are looking for a villa to explore Ubud and more northern parts of Bali, look no more. We had a very nice 7 day stay here. The atmosphere, the jungle and the very nice staff, made us feel like we were in paradise. The inside of the villa is clean, the shower and bed is perfect, and you can of course expect some Bali insects here and there, but I was very surprised how few we actually encountered. We had our own pool, and there is also a larger pool at the main area of the hotel, and you even find a third pool at the spa area. Perfect spot for small families and couples, both if you want to relax and explore. It´s only 15 min. drive from central Ubud, surrounded by the nicest rice fields, and you are able to walk to two waterfalls nearby. They also provide free rides to central Ubud every day. They have massages, both at your villa or in their spa area close to the small river running through the jungle. Two times a week they have a free beginners yoga session in the morning, make sure to start your day with yoga in the jungle! The food was good and they are serving smoothies, drinks and food all day until 22:00. Looking forward to coming back, and if you are ever in doubt of what to do, the brilliant staff members, and especially Made from the reception, are always there with great suggestions!
The outside terrace wooden decking could maybe need an upgrade, but that´s the only thing this perfect place is missing.

Great room, nice pool, good restaurant and friendly staff.
Could do with a little maintenance on the pool deck.

Authentic jungle setting with beautiful views. Very clean pools. Spa therapists very skilled. Staff kind and friendly, and very welcoming to our young baby. Booked an airport transfer and it arrived as planned. Easy access to Ubud via Grab or hotel shuttle. The luggage porters are super heros! The WiFi is surprisingly good for such a remote hotel.
The hotel has a much more basic feel than a 4 star so overall we were really disappointed. We had a private pool villa (Arjuna) and it was so damp inside the sheets and towels almost felt wet. The mosquito net smelled very badly of damp which didn’t make sleeping very pleasant. The wardrobe is inside the bathroom so all your clothes soon feel damp and smell. There were leaks in the roof when it rained - one of our bags got completely soaked and my husband slipped on the water and hurt himself very badly and we were randomly offered a pizza to say sorry which was a bit strange. Everything in the room is a little bit broken - the bathroom door didn’t close, the sink didn’t drain, the decking is rotting. The stairs are a nightmare depending on which villa you get. I’m 36 and relatively fit and I found them a challenge! It’s even more annoying when it rains (which is often) so you’re soaked by the time you get to reception. They don’t have any hotel umbrellas either which again, is weird for a 4 star hotel. The food is just about ok but expensive for the area. If you enjoy eating and drinking as part of your holiday you’ll likely have to go out for dinner most nights. It’s also annoying that they ask you to choose what you want for breakfast the day before. Coffee and tea at breakfast not good either. The bar and restaurant area are small and not comfortable / nicely decorated. Again a bit damp and smelly. They are quite functional spaces which - is annoying if you get a rainy day - that you can’t find somewhere cosy to hang out in the hotel.
