Great hotel with lovely staff and location, but with one caveat.

The staff was professional and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, with many options to choose from. Location was good-a scenic view when you step out of the hotel, and close to forms of public transport. Comfortable lobby and bar area. It had a locker room free of charge to store your luggage or belongings with individual self-locking lockers.

The only thing that I didn’t like was the design of the bathroom in the rooms. The exterior wall and door was made of glass, and while part of the those was frosted for privacy, it did little to add privacy since there was also a gap between the door and wall and there is no lock, or even any way to secure the door at all. Because of the gap, no solid wall or door, and the fact that the bathroom is literally right next to the bed, anyone can hear what’s going on in the bathroom (and vice versa).

Loved our stay here.

Room was beautiful and had a side view of sunset of the mountains. Bed was comfortable. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was some of the best of our trip to Europe with an amazing fruit bar. Location was perfect and close to everything we wanted to do. Bath, although small was comfortable.

Some staff were very helpful, some seemed busy and distracted by our questions. Overall, I did love this hotel and would recommend to others!

If you like peeled fruit

If you like good yogurt and fresh sliced (and peeled) fruit this breakfast is for you

There is one big light in the room. That light is so bright that you don't wanna use it. In the bathroom there is also one big bright light. They are like a wake-up light Hairdryer was so bad. You can only choose volume. You can't choose how hot or cool. There is only one temperature (and that will burn your hair)

Excellent hotel ideally situated in Innsbruck. Good sized very clean room with comfortable beds. Breakfast facilities were superb, with a good choice of hot and cold options. Would definitely stay there again - highly recommended.

There was nothing we didn't like, but tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been a bonus.

Cute hidden gem with great breakfast!

This hotel is a little hidden gem! So quaint, lovely staff, and modern efficient-style rooms. Location was ideal, bed was comfy (and very roomy), and the AC worked great. The breakfast was actually amazing and such a great value with tons of exotic fruit, eggs, yogurt, meats, cheeses, etc. They also stored our suitcases the next day. 10/10!

We had a lovely stay at the Maximilian hotel. The breakfast was spectacular, particularly the extensive fruit selection. The hotel was comfortable and impeccably clean. The staff were a delight. Highly recommend.

Great choice for short stay

Perfect location, nice personnel, clean room with new facilities, very handy storage room for luggage.

Missing kettle in the room for making tea. Room was also quite warm, didn’t see how to regulate heating and used airco (which was strange for April). Not a fan of glass door for the toilet (which doesn’t close well) - for shower is fine, but not toilet.

A very comfortable and welcoming hotel, ideally located and well appointed.

Right from the first moment we walked into the hotel we felt 'at home'. The reception team (and all other members of staff we met) were happy, helpful and very comfortable explaining the hotel facilities, and also suggesting things to do whilst in Innsbruck. The room was comfortable and cool, the bathroom was clean and newly refurbished, added to which the common areas and other facilities were top class. Breakfast was extensive, varied and good quality. The real highlight of our stay was nevertheless the staff, all of whom were great!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at

After hiking for 8 days on the Stubai trail, hotel Maximilan is the treat we expected and desired. The hotel is perfectly located in Innsbruck old town, next to the river. The staff is nice, welcoming and attentive, especially Franchesca at the reception who greeted us with a smile and cared for all our questions and requests. Breakfast is absolutely brilliant (the best I have ever experienced) with a great variety of dishes including fruits (melon, watermelon, mango, strawberry and even exotic fruits such as lychee, Pitaya and more), vegetables, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheeses, salami, etc. Wifi is good, there is a ski room to dry shoes. The room is cosy, clean and spacious and the bed is comfortable. Bottom line: this hotel exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to treat him/herself with a top-notch hotel at an affordable price

Wonderful hotel with friendly staff and epic breakfast

Gracious service and facilities. Everything a hotel should be. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was very friendly. Little extras in the room such as a Nespresso machine and small snacks. We had the family room and It was perfect for parents and a teenager. Being able to easily and safely store our luggage for our last days’s sightseeing in their luggage locker room was a bonus. Location is very central.

Location is perfect - the Old Town is a few minutes away. The hotel is very clean and well maintained.
