Rooms were cosy, owner was lovely, friendly and welcoming. The location of the property was ideal for JR Hospital.
My shower water was very weak and the water didn’t drain away in the shower tray. Otherwise everything else was great!

A great base for exploring Oxford; free parking and a bus stop right outside to travel into the city (bus was very reasonably priced!). Also, very conveniently located for the hospital and there's a Cafe Nero, mini-Waitrose and other shops nearby. The family room we had was quiet enough and big enough for our family of 4, with children aged 15 and 11. The room had a fridge, which is brilliant for families and it wasn't noisy, as is sometimes an issue. The TV had Sky channels which kept the kids entertained in the evening. Bathroom was clean and serviceable.
The room smelt quite strongly of air freshener, though I couldn't find one; could have been the washing powder on the linens? I am quite sensitive to strong smells but others might like? The room got quite hot and I couldn't turn the radiator down as the thermostatic control was behind a bed. I found a latex glove behind the bed while I was trying, though! The big bed was not comfortable to share, as was an old/cheap box-sprung mattress. The towels were small and thin-ish. These are minor quibbles; it was very decent for the price!

Location perfect for the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Room was clean and tidy and great off street parking.
Staff were very welcoming. Next time will try the breakfast, smelt and looked great.
Larger bath towels would be nice, and a fan in the room. Even though the room was lovely and cosy for the time of year and for those that feel the cold. A fan would be preferable for those that prefer a colder sleeping environment.

Good location, not even a 20 minute bus to town centre. Very clean, bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room.
Our room was next to the breakfast area so we were awoken when people went to breakfast.

Convenience for John Radcliffe Hospital. Friendly welcome by Dee. Refilling hot chocolate and biscuits daily! Clean and comfortable with lovely homely touches.
The shower was slow to drain (reported to property).

The location was phenomenal…easy access to the bus into Oxford and a bus into London Victoria Station. Pami was super friendly and very helpful with directions and tips.
The room we were in #12, was a little noisy with the check-in right outside our door.

Very nice staff, room cleaned daily and a great location for Headington, Oxford Brookes and easy bus ride to town centre. Water pressure poor, shower head needs changing, limited toiletries and poor quality towels. Heating not working but wasn't really needed.
Water pressure, towels, toiletries and heating.

I stayed at this hotel for just one night—thankfully. I checked in at 6:00 PM and checked out by 9:00 AM the next morning. Without exaggeration, this was the worst hotel stay of my life. There was no water coming from the shower. My wife and I had just driven from Edinburgh to Oxford, completely exhausted, and all we wanted was a hot shower. Instead, we were met with dry taps.
Somehow, we managed to wash our faces and rushed out within 30 minutes to attend a conference. We returned around 10:00 PM, hoping the issue had been resolved, but there was still no water. I messaged the hotel immediately through Booking.com—no response. Morning came, and again, no water.
To make matters worse, my wife was menstruating. The lack of basic hygiene facilities wasn’t just inconvenient—it was disgusting and unacceptable.
We checked out at 9:00 AM and informed the receptionist in person. Her response? A casual, "I saw your message last night. Sorry." That was it.
This experience was beyond disappointing—it was negligent and inexcusable.

The Red Mullion met our expectation, it is easily accessible, and a bus ride to Oxford city centre. It's very clean, good sized room overlooking the back yard, good continental breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.

The property was right next to the main road but don't worry you wouldn't hear the sound of the traffic. The room was very nice, good size and very clean. Car par was right at the front which was very convenience. There were shops, restaurants and pubs near by. Also, the Oxford tube bus to London, the stop was about 5 mins walk if your next destination was London and you need to catch the bus like us. It was very convenience!
Nothing!

Good location, parking available. There are many pubs, restaurants and grocery stores in the area.
It wasn’t properly cleaned. There was a used wooden fork in one of the corners of the room upon arrival, the baseboards and the radiator had some dirty spots and the room was dusty. The reception area smelled like cigarettes, so someone has probably smoked inside.

The property is extremely well situated for use for families to stay in when their relatives are in hospital, which is what I used it for. There was a good range of people doing different things when I stayed, so all around the location is brilliant. I was greeted very politely by one of the owners who made me feel very comfortable as a solo traveller. The room was very clean, although I had brought my own, there were toiletries included. Tea and coffee were topped up and available if asked. The furnishings were plush and comfortable and the shower was lovely. Very chatty, gentle and accommodating hosts, I would recommend this guest house to anyone looking to be close to the hospitals or park up and get public transport into the centre. Again, as a lone person I felt safe in the room I was in and slept very well. Thank you for making my stay amazing!
The only thing I could say is they don’t offer a cooked breakfast for some reason, but they more than make up for it with an incredible Continental option. Definitely a very moot point for this great guest house. No points deducted!

Location for a trip to Oxford Brookes is excellent, 5 min walk.
It's on a main road but you know that when you book, but in extreme heat you can't have the windows open. However 100% not thoer fault.

This place saved us from a terrible airbnb. They were so kind, friendly, and responsive. We were so happy they could accommodate us and much earlier than their check-in time. It was clean, and the family room was comfortable. Short walk to shops and a fantastic park for kids or a stroll. Some nice restaurants are nearby. Bus stop right out front. Parking was off the street, and we never had trouble getting a spot. Would highly recommend for a short stay.

Great location, close to the hospital for visits and also to a stretch of restaurants on the high street nearby. Room and bathroom was incredibly clean, shower had good water pressure and water ran hot consistently which was appreciated. Breakfast was simple but lovely as well, and convenient for an early start.
Would be good to have a fan in the room - the night was just cool enough to sleep with the window open but anything warmer and I think it would have felt too warm.

The room was clean and recently furnished, the welcome friendly
The bed was very small - the smallest I can recall in any hotel - partly because the room was also very small

On the main bus route. Clean. Strong flow shower head.
A couple of nonstandard UK outlets for which we did not have the proper adapter. Julie, our host, was very helpful in finding extension cords that would connect to the standard UK outlets that were also in the room.
