Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Basel - Allschwil by IHG

Hotel is relatively new (<5 years) so everything is fresh and in like new condition; the hotel is well appointed with a bar and lounge area in the spacious lobby. Hotel staff (Carlos) was professional, friendly and helpful with directions etc. Breakfast was very good with lots of options available ;food was well presented. Hotel was located on bus route to city core (train station etc) with stops in front of the hotel and across the street- very convenient. However, getting from the parking garage to the hotel was awkward with no easy direct path from the garage to the hotel front door; as well, there is no space in front of the hotel to park a car while loading/unloading luggage. Signage indicating the entrance to the parking garage should be enhanced and more prominent. (This would not stop me from booking the hotel again and I would recommend). My only room complaint about the room, "so to speak", was the design of the shower - the narrow glass panel (no door, just an opening) allowed water to splash quite liberally on the bathroom floor. The room was adequately sized with comfortable beds.

There was nothing about my 2 night stay that would preclude me from booking this hotel again - overall very satisfied.

Property was nice and clean. Room was a little small but overall it was nice and modern. It had AC which was nice!

My room was a little smaller than I was expected but that probably on me for not reading how bit it was.

Comfortable beds and everything you need for a few days in Basel

Little bit away of the center but with the bus connections it is not a problem

Kindness of the staff, Cleanliness of the room, Strong wifi signal, Exceptional breakfast, Excellent pizzas and salads for dinner.
