We loved the hotel, the staff were the best, the pool was wonderful. I would definitely recommend.

The rooms were nice, beds comfortable, big bathroom and shower. The pool area was lovely, plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The food was good, we ate breakfast every day and at least one lunch and dinner. Nice choice of cocktails and beer and a few wines to choose.

There was no natural light in the room unless you were ok with having no privacy. All the rooms open onto the pool area so if you opened the drapes you were visible. The location is a bit off the beaten track. Walking to La Punta was no problem at all, maybe 10 minutes downhill. Coming home uphill in the heat was not so pleasant. Luckily cabs were available and they are pretty cheap, we were charged 100-250 pesos.

Unfortunately, we only stayed 1 night, having booked 4 for a special birthday. The hotel was not to the high standard we were expecting from its score and reviews. Cleanliness and maintenance were not of a high standard, and the place seemed understaffed. There was undisclosed building work happening on arrival. Pool not maintained well. Stains on the pool beds and towels tired and stained. The room was tired and not very well maintained. Stained pillows, dusty, poorly lit, smelly, noisy A/C. It's a bit far from town, 10 min walk. Customer service was infuriating when trying to obtain a refund. They use an AI bot. We are still hoping for a refund to be granted as we feel the property is currently misrepresented as a classy boutique hotel.

Lack of maintenance is the main issue here. If upkeep was kept on top of, this would be a wonderful property worthy of high scores.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The beds were the best bit of our stay - so comfortable! The staff were lovely and the food reasonably priced with it being a hotel. We loved the pool and there were lots of sun loungers which was great. They bought shots and free snacks round!

There was about a 15 minute walk from the town which wasn’t long but it was dark at night and we didn’t feel 100% comfortable. Please also put a filter tap as would be easier to access our own fresh water!

Beautiful boutique hotel. Good quality for the price we paid (around €125 a night). Perfect pool/bar to chill and relax between the beach time and other activities. Nice staff. Location was fine. We enjoyed the ~10min walk to the main strip, and due to its location, it was also possible to enter a more quiet beach as well.

The room facilities could have been more comprehensive, and the bathroom’s finish could have been better. Overall I’d rate it a 9.5, but as that’s not possible, I’ll round it up to a 10.

Fantastic small hotel with fantastic staff and food.

Absolutely amazing place. The rooms were very comfortable and large. The pool area is fantastic with double bed per apartment and the food was incredible. Every meme we of staff were super friendly and professional. The location is 10 mins from the beach in a taxi and it’s very safe.

Beautiful and peaceful stay at Bora boutique hotel only a stone throw away from the hustle and bustle of La Punta

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Less than 10 minutes down the hill to the hustle and bustle of La Punta. Which made it the perfect location because it was so peaceful and quiet while being so close to the action. Everyone who works at the hotel was beyond lovely and helpful. The selection and quality of food and drinks was great and had everything you could have wanted. I really could not recommend Bora Boutique Hotel more.

Paradise!

Amazing hotel retreat in Puerto Escondido. We stayed here for 3 nights and had the most relaxing stay away from the crowds in La Punta. Thank you to Jacquelin for making the most amazing smoothies (“El Jefe” smoothie) and to Lendi and the rest of the Team for the friendly, attentive service, for helping to arrange taxis and for serving a delicious dinner. The hotel is very luxurious as each room has it’s own garden terrace and outdoor shower. The pool was thoroughly cleaned every morning too. Highly recommend for your stay in Puerto Escondido

Would DEFINITELY come again!

The place is absolutely stunning. As you see it in the pictures - that's how it looks like when you enter. The rooms are spacious, very clean and modern. The place is beautiful and calm. It is very close to the beach and main streets of Puerto Escondido yet the hotel is in a calm area where you can truly rest. Having a rental car is preferable because a Taxi can get expensive. A rental car is a cheaper and better option. Breakfast was very good but there are many places where you can go to eat down at the beach. I definitely recommend this place!

This place was perfect for a solo traveler wanting to be within walking distance of Barbarenas for yoga and Zicatela bea

The property is beautiful and perfect for pool time and needing a place that makes meals for a reasonable price.

It is clear they are a new property and still figuring some things out. One night the kitchen chef left early and I tried ordering a late dinner (around 8pm) and couldn’t. But after that they started letting me know if the kitchen would close early.

- design is nice of the pool area - clean room and towels - large beds

- entrance is poor and underwhelming - service is unfortunately not 5 star, the staff need training if so (it was my birthday and my boyfriend had arranged the night before for breakfast as a surprise and the staff forgot and didn’t seem to care, it then took about half an hour to even get coffee) - pathways should be added to each room to avoid dirt getting into the bedrooms - rooms need more comfort touches I.e towel hooks, art, better bedside tables, better wardrobes, these were a cabinet not a wardrobe - safe not fixed - music needed by pool

It was absolutely stunning! I loved my stay here, it felt so luxurious. The bed was so comfy and the whole room was really nice. A private roof top terrace was a lovely touch too! The staff are really friendly and helpful too 🙂 It's easy to walk down to la punta during the day and grab a taxi in the evening when it's dark. I would definitely stay here again!

Very comfortable rooms/beds. Modern upscale bathroom. Nice pool/rooftops. There is s great place only 2 min walking distance to see the sunset/ocean.

A little challenging to navigate speaking english. Menu mostly in spanish, limited english among staff (but they made an effort!). My impression was that the hotel was very new and still trying to figure things out. My suite did not have much of an ocean view, but some do. The kitchen seemed to open around 09, and the food was very basic, but OK. Amazing beds, not the best pillows (only the firm round type usually reserved for decorative purposes).

Super Hotel für Entspannung und Privatsphäre, "hochwertiges" und angenehmes Publikum

Super schönes ruhiges Hotel in ruhiger Lage, etwas auf der Anhöhe aber kein Problem, man kommt innerhalb von 15 min zu Fuß zum Strand und zur Main Street von La Punta. Das Personal war sehr nett und Essen vom Restaurant auch super. Es gibt genügend Liegen am Pool (sehr bequem.) Auch die kleinen Dachterassen auf jedem Zimmer sind super privat und groß.

Es sollte ein Adults only Hotel sein, wir haben jedoch Kinder gesehen (waren uns nicht sicher, ob die vom Personal waren), sie waren aber nicht bei der Poolarea.

Súper recomendado

Las camas eran muy cómodas, la alberca estaba súper, solo hacía mucho calor debería estar un poco más fría. La atención del personal fue excelente, tanto en recepción como en el restaurante, nos permitieron quedarnos un par de horas más ya que el vuelo salía tarde. Los desayunos y la comida muy ricos también, sin duda regresaríamos. Excelente opción
