The photos were old and need retaken. The hot tub replaced with a lazy spa which didn’t heat up until we left after our 2 day vacation. The house could do with a declutter and enough crockery provided. Also a toaster would be good

Shady business practices

The villa is located very conveniently to all the shops and restaurants. It was clean and we had plenty of space.

I didn’t like the local host who met us at check in trying to get us to cancel our reservation through Booking.com on the spot and encouraging us to go directly through him and he would give us a little cash back for cutting out Booking.com. The company insists on CASH ONLY for the entire charge. This means we needed to come to the property with over 1,700+ euros. (More than $2,000 USD) all in CASH!! This is crazy. Who walks around with all of the money. No credit cards or debit cards are accepted. No prepayment goes through Booking.com. If you cancel through Booking.com and go directly through these guys you have no recourse if anything happens. Of course we kept our reservation via Booking.com. Clearly this is a violation of their contract with Booking.com!!

the location was fab

There are only 2 full size bathroom and one half bathroom is outside the villa (next to the jacuzzi) the boiler is not good, its really slow, it takes a lot of time to heat the water. Not more than 2 people can shower in 1 go.

Location, location, location! Truly in the hear of Old Town Split. The host was also amazing; he met us on arrival, recommended top notch restaurants, was very accommodating, and even set us up with a guide for a walking tour of Split.

Large place in old town with some downsides

In old town, can room a relatively large group (but see downsides), clean, had a washing machine.

Many things were missing or weren’t working properly or couldn’t be used: - the hot tub was cold when we came so we couldn’t use it for 2 days until it warmed up; l - some A/C units were not making enough cold air (set to 22-24 Celsius); - during the weekdays at 8:30am sharp a music school was making lots of noises and waking everyone up (if you’re a late sleeper); - the hot tub is basically unusable after 10pm because neighbors would immediately threaten to call the police at the slightest whisper; - the corkscrew in the kitchen was broken and missing a critical piece - the hot water would run out after 2 showers; we were only 4 people and 2 bathrooms. I can’t imagine how bad it would get with 12 people (the max capacity for the place). - very little (or inexistent in some rooms) closet space. My room had 3 beds and no closet space and very little space around the beds.

Perfection

Directly in the heart of the city is a little slice of Paradise. Deep seated in history and only steps away from historical castles, parks and the glorious seaside. The host is among the superheroes of hosts connecting us with local guides, food and travel excursions. He was always willing to assist and answer any questions or needs that we may have coming from various countries and locations. Our tour guide Natali was a superstar. We engaged her for several days and she showed us the secret locations and truest treasure troves of the city and the surrounding area. Together they made a dream vacation come true. Thank you to Tony our host and Natali our guide and thank you to the breakfast crew that started each day with a smile and a delectable delight. I would highly recommend this accommodation and the glorious people who share their joy of this remarkable city with the world.
