Our stay at the Grand Hotel Minerva in Florence was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, it truly felt like a 5-star experience in every sense. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, and the level of service is outstanding. I accidentally entered the wrong check-in dates, and the staff went above and beyond to ease the stress caused by my mistake. They handled everything with such kindness, patience, and professionalism. They took incredible care of both my daughter and me, and I will always be grateful for how seamless they made the entire experience. The room was one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in. It was spotless, immaculate, and so thoughtfully designed that it felt warm, inviting, and truly elevated. The staff was exceptional, and the amenities were equally impressive. The multi-level rooftops were a true highlight, offering incredible views of Florence, including the Duomo, but it is only one of many stunning areas throughout the property. Every space feels elegant and welcoming. The hotel is also within walking distance of amazing sites, shops, and restaurants, which made exploring the city very easy. I cannot express enough how exceptional this hotel is. If you are traveling to Florence, this is truly the place you want to stay. Thank you again, Grand Hotel Minerva, for giving us the best hotel experience we have ever had. We cannot wait to return!

We stayed at Grand Hotel Minerva for three nights during our honeymoon to explore Florence for the first time. The hotel was in a great location - walking distance to all the main attractions, close to the train station for easy travel, but still quiet and peaceful. The hotel kindly provided biscotti as a treat for this being part of our honeymoon. The hotel was clean and the view from the rooftop was beautiful. However the breakfast wasn’t great, and the food and drink on offer at the hotel was extortionate. For example, 15€ for a 330mL Peroni, with cocktails over 20€ each. This is particularly frustrating after paying so much money to stay there in the first place. One of the reasons we booked the hotel was due to the rooftop pool, but unfortunately on the hot day we went to use it, we found it to be extremely cold and therefore barely in use. It would have been nice to relax on the rooftop but without racking up a huge drinks bill, this unfortunately wasn’t possible as outside food and drink can’t be consumed there either. Overall we would recommend looking elsewhere for better value for money. With Florence being a relatively small city, there are lots of other places to choose from that would still be well located for the main attractions.

I felt that the hotel was exceptional for what it offered and the price. The staff were super helpful. We had great service. The rooms were very nice for a European hotel. Our stay came With a continental breakfast which was great. We really liked the location in Florence proper. Everything was within a 15-20 minute walk. I will stay there again when we come back to Florence.

Their warmth and efficiency set a wonderfully inviting tone for our entire visit. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. Being just a five-minute walk from the train station made our arrival and departure utterly stress-free. Even better, we were thrilled to discover that there are many, many dining options right on its doorstep, ensuring we were never short of a fantastic meal. In essence, Grand H Minerva isn't just a place to stay; it's a destination that perfectly combines an unbeatable location, luxurious comfort, and genuinely outstanding service. We left feeling completely rejuvenated and are already planning our return. Highly, highly recommended for an unforgettable Florences escape!

SMN train station makes day trips from Florence so easy. I wish we could’ve spent our entire trip in Italy based right here!
