The vibe of the place

We had a reservation for two people and they gave me a room for only one. With the bed only with the comforts for one (we complained and they gave us the things spontaneously) but we only had all the services, towels, glass, etc. only for one and having to share is not ideal when you pay for a single person.

This boutique hotel in Mannheim is a gem

This boutique hotel is a gem in Mannheim. Ideally located next to the train station, the hotel rooms are comfortable and quiet. The room was superbly decorated. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend this hotel if you stay in Mannheim.

One member of the staff was disagreeable, to say the least. I did the check-in with a professional young lady when I arrived in the middle of the afternoon. When I came back from the office in the evening, a young guy was at the reception desk. He basically accused me of having stolen the card key of the room. When he realized that it was not the case, he did not even apologize. First time in my life (and I am 50 years old) that I had this type of experience in a hotel. It was very disagreeable.

A central boutique hotel that actually delivers.

The hotel was great. Will stay again. Great location, large bedroom, comfortable bed, superb bathroom, great staff. Nice to visit an hotel and it deliver on all aspects. We didn’t eat in the restaurant so unable to assist on this front. The breakfast however was great, lots of choice.

We didn’t dine in the restaurant which was not part of our plan.

Very friendly staff and modern facilities. The restaurant was also amazing.

No family rooms, had 2 rooms on two different floors. Lots of noise from the street being right opposite the train station.

For a 4 star property I would have expected the wifi to work, however when I called the front desk to ask why my wifi wasn't working I was informed the wifi was out for a couple days and that I could use an internet cafe close by. I would have never booked this hotel if I knew the wifi was out. I've cancelled a future reservation in fear they might not have wifi again.

Nice hotel, disappointing policies

Lovely rooms, nice decor, very clean, spacious bathrooms, perfect location

We got charged €20 to use a pot, knife and chopping board to prepare some baby food. For that we had to ‘open’ the kitchenette in our room and someone had to come and unlock it. We explained it was just to make baby food and still got charged. Seems extortionate. Also the curtains tracks in our room didn’t meet in the middle so you can’t close the curtains. Expect a lot more for a hotel of this quality.
