Very comfortable!

No issues checking in or out - was able to do everything without talking to anybody, which I loved. The room was well-equipped and I liked the accessible location - close to the train station.

Honestly, no real complaints. I just had issues with the coffee pods not opening 🤣

Clean, modern, well priced, good location.

Smartments are close to the Mannheim Hauptbahnhof and the city centre, there are several supermarkets in the area (10 minutes walk) and also numerous cafes and restaurants in the area. The apartment was quite spacious, the kitchenette is good for meal preparation with an induction cooktop and a microwave oven. Utensils, crockery, and pots/frying pan are provided. The under-bench fridge is quite large and there is plenty of cupboard storage space. The online check in/ check out worked well. The bathroom was small but very functional, and body wash was provided. My stay was 8 days and Smartments was ideal for me (single person), well priced, convenient, modern, clean,and will be my repeat booking for for future visits to Mannheim!

There was not a kettle provided in the kitchen? I think this in definitely something that should be available (either in the studio or on request) for a quick cup of coffee, etc? Also, the large pan/pot was very slow to boil water as I don't think it is the correct sort for an induction cooktop??

Never Again

Clean and close to train

Very bad service. There should be 24/7 customer support. QR code/virtual key did not work. I was told by Text on WhatsApp that I would have to wait until morning to speak to someone because it was most likely the door lock itself that was not functioning. Really? Where was I supposed to sleep? On the floor?I walked 25 minutes in the rain after a very long day to not be able to get into my room. They would not put me into another room that night. I found someone in the lobby who helped me make an actual card key which the customer Support did not tell me was an option!! to find out from a complete stranger, how to get into my room and not customer support is very bad business!!!

Few minutes from the train station and pretty close to the tram.

The fridge was very noisy. Could only fall asleep when the fridge stopped its freezing cycle. The kitchen area was cramped. When someone in the neighboring apartments were opening or closing the doors, it felt like an earthquake when I was standing in bed.

Lovely accomodation

Very nice place , the facility had what was needed. Everything was clean. Distance from the center and station is short about 8-10minute walk. The reception was very kind and friendly.

The shower door was missing the handle it had a hole instead.

Although it says there's parking, it's extremely inadequate compared to the number of rooms. There's no parking space except in front of the hotel. There's also a sign saying your car can be towed. If you arrive in the evening, you won't be able to find a parking space, and since there's no one at the reception, you won't be able to get any help. I drove around for a long time, but there wasn't a parking space, so we parked outside. When we woke up the next morning, our cars had been towed. We paid a fine of 372 euros for each vehicle. We spent two hours trying to get our car back. The receptionist said the license plate numbers should be provided in advance. There's no such explanation. Since we rented the car the same day, we only learned the license plate numbers a short time ago. Don't just go there because there's parking; you'll be left stranded.

Best location and value for money

This property is conveniently located close to the main train station and makes it easier to get around. Once you are checked in, everything works perfectly from the access to the wifi, and the room was just as great. I loved that it had enough space and amenities, I didn't want for anything while I was there. Ok, maybe an iron but I made it just fine without it. It was definitely great value for money.

Train noise during the night.

You have everything you need even id you decide to cook and live there.

I received messages through email, WhatsApp, and Booking.com, which was confusing. The WhatsApp messages looked suspicious, and I couldn’t find key info like the hotel address. It would be better if all communication stayed on one platform. Train noise during the night and I wasn’t be able to sleep.

Never again

Very little. Rather than an apartment for *business* travellers, I found an overpriced warehousing facility for students, if you want to be very generous to the place

No desk, no laptop safe, no reception staff for 22 h/day, "kitchenette" so small that the only place for washing up implements was on the cooker, bins integrated into wardrobe, walk from station highly unsafe (walk between rail tracks and derelict building site) and thus unsuitable for solo female travellers.

Excellent place to stay

The apartments were exceptionally nice, well maintained and well equipped and relatively spacious. The location is great as well, close to the main train station, but not right next to it, it's still far enough that it's peaceful and you don't have people walking all around the building. The self check in process is also quite simple and straightforward. For this price I am quite certain that you will not be able to find anything nearly as nice as these apartments.

There were no Chairs in the room to use at the table and for somewhere other than the bed to sit on. Unsecured wifi in the middle of the city really bad. Uncomfortable pillows

Smart hotel, dumb rooms

The location is quite good - not too long of a walk from Hbf. Checkin was smooth and user friendly. Originally I wasn't sure, but the instructions to generate key card was super easy to follow. Room itself is decently furnished and spacious. They made smart use of the space to have all the necessary items available for cooking and a comfortable stay. In the end it was value for money. Staff was very friendly and very responsive. They were able to answer all my questions.

The room was cold and heating was shot. Even though the thermostat was cracked all the way up, had to wear a jacket to stay warm inside the room. This was biggest negative. The floor seemed sticky. Bed had a rough sheet and was not comfortable. Though I did not mind much, but the train noises at night could be annoying sometimes. The vending machine was broke and could only be operated when there was staff, which meant if you arrive after 7pm, you can't use them.

Very good studio apartment hotel. Definitely to be recommended.

This hotel is excellent for travellers, especially those without a car. It is a 7 minute, very easy walk from the station. Also, there is excellent tram connection in the next street over, as well as access to a Lidl supermarket for groceries in the same street. (Schwetzingerstrasse). It is an easy 15 minute walk into the main part of town, if you prefer to walk. The hotel kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking and there are even small amounts of oil, salt, sugar available downstairs. There is a comfortable seating area and coffee machine in the foyer. The laundry is excellent. The room is serviced once a week but additional towels etc are available as needed.

The thing I really missed was a kettle in the room, as I am a tea drinker. (Luckily I had an immersion heater with me.) However the coffee machine is very good and some free coffee pods are provided when the room is serviced. The seating in the room is sufficient but not comfortable but it is possible to sit downstairs for reading, computer work etc.

Excellent for my 2 week stay. Had all the facilities I needed and more. Staff members were lovely and quite accommodating. Location wise, it was a nice walk to the city centre and there were plenty of food options available nearby. I'd definitely stay here again in the future.

A great place to stay for single travellers

Immaculate, well equipped apartment. Close to the station and restaurants. The sound isolation is good .and there is a lift. Drinks and snacks can be bought from a machine on the ground floor. I have stayed here 3 times now and will come again!

Poor cleanliness. I stay the second time here and I think the hotel decided to save costs on the 2 most important factors in a hotel: proper bedding (matress, sheets, pillows) and properly trained cleaning personal/cleaning routine. There was hair everywhere from previous tenants, on the floor on the mattress, the bed sheets smelled like someone used it, shower and toilets not scrubbed, soap and trash from previous tenants. Absolutely not worth all the "pretty" deco.

Cleanliness is not thorough. Stayed in 2 different rooms and both had a lot of hair from previous tenants on the floor. Bedsheet of the matress very old.
