We had an outstanding stay and would absolutely come back. From the first moment, the staff were warm, professional and always ready to help (special thanks to Michele, a genuinely lovely person). The hotel is exceptionally clean and very well maintained, with a boutique feel and great attention to detail. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite and the room was immaculate, comfortable and perfectly prepared. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well thanks to the excellent soundproofing. Everything felt spotless and well cared for. Breakfast was a real highlight: plenty of choice, fresh products, nicely presented and always topped up. The location is ideal for visiting La Spezia and the Cinque Terre, with a Carrefour just around the corner and bus/tram stops right outside for easy connections. A big advantage is that the hotel is just outside the ZTL and offers on-site parking, which made arriving by car completely stress-free. Great services, great comfort and an excellent price-quality ratio. Highly recommended, book with confidence!

We had a fabulous stay at Cinque Terre Gateway! Michael went above and beyond to help us. We had a hiccup with our parking, called him on WhatsApp and he took care of calling the parking garage and getting the issue resolved. He was on his way out and spotted us pulling our luggage and introduced himself. He then helped with our luggage and getting us settled and oriented to the city. He recommended some fabulous things to do in the area including 2 wineries. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay in LaSpezia/Cinque Terre. Perfect location with lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Be sure and include breakfast in your stay. Wonderful caffe with great coffee, juice and pastries. FYI: Can also book direct with the hotel.

The reservation through Expedia was ok except the last step. I was not able to get the information to upload my ID. The property was clean during the weekend it could be noisy around the property. Otherwise the location is convenient to the train station and local eatery

Property was easy to get to. So close to the main train station. Right on one of the main streets of La Spezia. There is a small lift if you don’t want to go up the 3 flights of stairs. But they are nice easy stairs. The place was pretty big, had a fridge which was great and air con. Came back to a made bed every afternoon and clean room. Really enjoyed my stay. Would recommend it.

Great place to stay if you’re going to Cinque Terre. Clean and comfortable. However you need to know that there is no staff in the property, everything is autonomous. I recommend you to double before paying the city tax because they charged us the double amount. In theory they have made a refund but it’s been a month already, and we still haven’t received it. The only response the property says about it is “you need to check with your bank”, they are not helping. Our bank says there is no refund so I’m starting to think that no refund was made..

Great accomodation in the centre of La Spezia. There is a carrefour express just below which is convenient and the train station is less than 5 mins walk away. The shopping street with stores and restaurants just beside. Inside a vintage building and vintage small lift but the room has a modern look. Only bad thing to say is about parking. When booking it mentions parking available. However they only message you 2-3 days before with instructions to book. Most parking is booked by then. Luckily I was able to find street parking near by.

The room itself is very large but the bathroom is small and the shower is extremely small its so hard to fit in especially for anyone over 5"11 and 190 pounds. There also isnt anyone on the property to help you check in.. Our room was not cleaned our first nught but housekeeping came in and opened the windows and it had been raining all day so our clothes got extremely damp and the bed was wet from the rain. It took several attempts to get them to come and finish cleaning the room. If your looking for a room close to the train station its a 3-4 minute walk which was perfect!

Its prime location, just a short walk from the train station, made traveling to nearby villages effortless. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient getaway!

The location of this hotel is very convenient to the train station, restaurants and some shopping. The instructions to check in were very easy to understand and follow. The main doors into the building were amazing. When we walked through the courtyard, it felt a little sketchy… kind of worn down and in disrepair. However when we got to the block of rooms run by Cinque Terra Gateway, it was very nicely remodeled and extremely clean. Overall, it was a great stay.

Had a great stay at this property. Very modern/contemporary build. Everything was walking distance and very convenient. We went Dec 25-27 so the offfice (which is in the same hallway as our room) was closed but they were available via WhatsApp 24/7. Security (keypad entry) was very good since there were 2 entrance points into that hallway. And the 3rd one was a card key into our room which securely put in a lockbox outside the room door. I was highly recommend this property if you plan to visit Cinque Terre in the future

Our stay started with clear and detailed communication from the hotel via WhatsApp, we were given self-check-in instructions and directions to the hotel. Which were easy to follow When we first arrived we were a bit surprised as the hotel is part of a building, with offices and permanent residents. We took the small elevator up to the 3rd floor. We were a little skeptical until we opened the door to the hotel lobby and were hit with a plesant breeze and smell. The standard was high, clean and modern. We got into our room and was met with the same high standards. Everything was lovely. During our stay the room was cleaned daily and we were given complementary waters. The cleaning staff deserves a lot of praise for the detailed job they did. All in all a wonderful stay! Locationwise the hotel is a 2minute walk from the station and there is an endless number of cafés and resturants within 5 minutes of walking. Breakfast was included, but in form of vouchers for a café across the street wich served delicous coffee and baked goods, and we looked forward to our breakfast every day. I would highly recommend this hotel if you plan to visit La Spezzia or explore the coast of Cinque Terre.

We stayed for 5 nights and loved every minute. Our room was clean , central to everything, especially the train station . It had lift access, so handy with all our luggage. The coffee machine outside the rooms was perfect for our early morning coffee while connecting with our family back home . We had an issue with our key on our last night and it was fixed quickly with a friendly smile from our host . Highly recommend Cinque Terre Gateway

The hotel rooms are beautiful, recently renovated and modern. The bed was comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and fit large suitcases nicely. There was a desk and wine glasses and bottle openers and a safe with large closet space. The cleaning service was amazing. It's all contactless check in so you must be okay sending documents (ID/passports) via Whatsapp. There are codes to get into the building which worked fine. The lobby/building/elevator was very old and hard to navigate with large suitcases. The location was pretty good, near the main strip but in a bit of a sketchy square. It was a 5min walk to the train station and maybe a 15min walk to the port. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Easy to train to Cinque Terre but busy trains.

Kind of a strange place. Close to what you need in La Spezia, the train and the main street. Breakfast was just outside the building at a local place and was very good with friendly service. The rooms were clean and had some space, and the building itself gave a taste of living in the city. The strange...There wasn't anyone on the property to help. Communications were through whatsapp. That meant no iron or other amenities like that. There was a specialty coffee machine in the hall for a small fee, an ice machine, and candies in the common hall. Someone came to clean and that's all you'll see from the hotel. Guests talked to each other for help. Good place to stay for the Cinque Terre, but just don't expect a hotel experience

Location is good. No place to park. 4 floes up in a building with no normal sized elevator. Just a lift. Have to use 3 different code boxes to get in to building, the apartment area and then the room. No place for seniors or handicapped. Rooms are recently renovated and nice.

Our flight to Florence was delayed so we missed the check in, which we dont understand why if its a property-like hotel the check in time in only til 10 pm. We had to check in the day before and the recepcionist told us we missed one day of breakfast since we didnt check in on time. I mean we paid in advance and yet they told us those were the policies. The place is fine but is in the third floor of a very old bulding, the elevator is so small and old, very complicated to handle with luggage

The building looks old and we were a little concerned what we were facing. However the "Gateway Hotel" is really just a developed floor of the building. The rooms were very clean and modern and the host was a very friendly and helpful guy. It was also very close to the train station. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Cinque Terre Gateway is a nice and modern hotel. Great property for the price! The location was less than 5 minutes from the main train station that takes you to all of the Cinque Terre cities as well as the rest of Italy. I would definitely recommend this place.
