Staff very friendly and helpful. The whole ambience of the place is very nice and relaxing. The room was very well designed and the shower was lovely and powerful! Breakfast was plentiful too. Would highly recommend for those looking for a relaxing stay near the old town

Had a really enjoyable week in Bergamo and the hotel played a part in that. Check in with the staff was smooth and the room was very nice too. It's a small guest house with just six rooms and all the staff were really helpful with a nice breakfast each day. There is availability all day for something to eat/drink as it is also a cafe and you get many locals in there. At night if you order a drink you are presented with a lovely board of snacks for free to accompany it as well. The staff are happy to assist with anything that you need help with an they called a cab for us on the morning of our check out to get to the station. A return to Bergamo will be one where we know which hotel we are going to stay at already thats for sure.

The location of this hotel is utterly perfect. Next to the funicular, next to a car park (we were not driving) ans 50 metres away from the start if the A1 airport bus, so ideal for a last night in Bergamo. The hotel itself is tiny, but the rooms are fab (we had one in the attic which had great shower, fab bed and really tastefully decorated. The staff could not be better, very welcoming with a drink and really made it feel like a home from home. Would definitely recommend.

Small boutique hotel located just inside the walls of the old town so location is fantastic. Bus outside to the airport every 20 mins or so easy to get to. The old town itself is mostly car free with the narrow streets and surrounded by history. Staff friendly, hotel comfortable, breakfast included which was a nice little buffet. Rooms air-conditioned with a quirky style and a glass shower so you need to be comfortable with your roommate. Would recommend and would happily stay here again.

The place was amazing. Rooms are personal (unique boitique style) and very clean. The service was amazing, they were all so helpful. Very nice breakfast. It is located next to the funicular, and very close to the old town. We got to store our luggages while we stayed in the city. Would definitely stay there again.

Had a magnificent stay at this hotel. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, even the beautiful little dog in reception! We were given complimentary welcome drinks upon arrival which were very nice indeed. We will definitely be back to enjoy another stay at this beautiful hotel in a stunning location!

This hotel is the absolute BEST! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel has an amazing breakfast as well as a fun bar area with free snacks on the weekends. you can walk to anywhere in the old city from the hotel. I can't wait to go back!

This is a wonderful boutique hotel perfectly situated for a stay in beautiful Bergamo's Citta Alta. We were greeted so warmly - the managers and staff are all smiles all the time! - and welcomed with a glass of lovely local White and a charcuterie board, while we watched the tiny funicular which goes up to the highest point of the town. The rooms are very nice. This area is quiet but so close to fabulous restaurants and shops and its famous walls and stunning architecture. We loved our stay and highly recommend Fuori Porta House. Oh: great food too!!

We absolutely loved this hotel. It’s centrally located just next to the entrance of the old town. There are only 6 bedrooms in the hotel so it feels super friendly. The staff was AMAZING. They were all so pleasant and helpful. They made our stay super comfortable. The breakfast is good and the aperitivo on the terrace was great. Fully recommended!

The hotel was very conveniently located with the funicular right next door and the airport bus stop outside the hotel. The accommodation was of a very high standard throughout plus a big shout out to Sofie and the staff who were amazing. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again without any hesitation.

We had a great time at Fuori Porta House. The locations was the very best, right next to the fonicular. The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Many thanks to Johan who was so helpful and even took time to give us a lot of directions and provided us with a map and many good tips. We had a great time!

We have recently returned from a 4 night stay in Bergamo and had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located, we took the number 1 bus from the airport with the final stop being a minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is a short walk to the old town, which offers a large range of bars and restaurants, along with many sights to see. Next to the hotel is the Funicular (cable railway) which takes you to the high point offering spectacular views of the city below. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. With the hotel only having 6 rooms, this provided a personal feel to our stay. The staff are a real asset to this hotel, with a particular mention to Sofia, Raffaele and John. Thank you for the restaurant and beer recommendations, but also for making our stay in Bergamo even more enjoyable. Breakfast was sufficient considering there are only 6 rooms to cater for. After a day visiting Lake Iseo, the last night of our stay the hotel hosted a ‘Happy Hour’ evening which involved piano playing, unlimited buffet which we attended along with a number of other guests and locals.

Really lovely hotel. Firstly we would Commend the service. The staff we interacted with were completely lovely; so friendly and helpful. Such a nice room. Clean, comfortable bed and the most amazing rain shower. We had a great night’s sleep. Nicely situated with great access to Bergamo Alta too.

I wish we had a better experience but unfortunately there are two reasons for the ok review. 1. I kept finding bugs in my room. When I told them about it they just said that it’s normal for this time of year because they are trying to find warmth and didn’t offer anything else other than did I want something to kill them with. 2. The whole reception and bar area was closed all day with no one there the day before we checked out. They also don’t have anyone there before 7:30/8am. We had to leave early on checkout day and didn’t know that they didn’t have our card information nor did they inform us of being closed or how to properly check out, knowing when we were checking out that no one would be there. Now they are threatening to take legal action because they have only tried calling twice and both times my phone was off because we were traveling. I’ve tried calling 10 times during hours they say they are open and no one answers the phone. It’s really frustrating to not be able to get a hold of them as I do want to pay the bill.

This was my favourite place in Bergamo and Milan that we stayed! We arrived and everything was perfect from the start. We stayed at the Savoia Dorchester the day before and I actually prefer this hotel! It is quaint, tidy, extremely modern, pretty and just looks like a little Northern Italian gem! The location is in the high town so you need to get the bus up there, which is 10 minutes, but it is so worth it. The high town is more quaint while down town is modern and good for shopping. The hotel consequently has a great location, 2 min walk from upper town centre and 10 min bus from lower town centre. The hotel inside is lovely. A wonderful small restaurant and cafe which had amazing coffee and cakes and the best food that I have had in bergamo. The local wine was also brilliant and very good value. Definitely have lunch or dinner here! The rooms are small but extremely well presented with all amenities and designed in a way to optimise space. Electric windows and shutters and a digital audio were a great touch. We could see the furnicular railway line from our widow which was great. The staff were incredibly helpful and even made us a packed breakfast as we were leaving early for our return home. I would definitely stay here again and think you should too 😊
