I made a Booking for 2 adults and 1 Child and you Can see it in my hotels booking, But They forcera me to pay 30 euro for the Child. But in the booking i have booked for 3 persons. I want those 30 euro back.

Like: the room was built on the ancient Amphitheater. It is located in the midst of everything. Dislike: The AC did not work. IT was unplugged. After a day I realized that, but then the remote had no effect in setting temperature, etc. I sweated every evening. The noise outside prevented me from leaving the window open. There was no cleaning service. Only once did someone come to empty the trash basket and removed a used towel. Two tiny soaps and two packets of shampoo. I had to go out and buy some. I never met the host. Once a man was outside my room, but he did not greet me nor identify himself. In a minute he was gone. The breakfast included was across the street. Same stuff every day. Nothing to write home about. NO fruit.

Great view, great location. If you want contact free, this is the place for you because other than through text or whatsapp, you won’t see anyone. Old building is great but FYI, no lift. The blow dryer didn’t work and no replacement was provided. Breakfast location was very close and nice. Lucca is beautiful and you will enjoy the location. No bells or whistles just a room with a great view of the center.

really a bad experience, for an otherwise okay place. They said that the place has aircondition, and yes there was one, but it didn't work. We sleept in 28 degrees that night. It could not bring the temperature down at all. we only sleept a few hours that night and luckily we had to move on the next day to another hotel. We would therefore not recommend this hotel if you are traveling in the summer.

Position is fantastic, overlooking at one of the best squares in Italy. The rest regarding the apartment is mediocre really. Bed is old and cheap, bathroom is tiny and overall all just an ikea apt. Nothing wrong with that but let’s say, it’s position and window view is its best part. Also the owner wasn’t flexible on checkout time on a pouring rain day when no one else was coming in after us, where he could been more flexible.

Whilst the location of this property is excellent it is in need of a revamp. It needs updating and cleaning properly. Bathroom doesn’t smell too nice and the kitchen and crockery needs a good scrub. The bedroom looks out into the Piazza Anfiteatro however unless you only require 4 hours sleep a night bring some industrial ear plugs.

It may be in an excellent location but you probably wont get a view over the Piazza. There is no one around until 3:00pm so if you arrive early youll have to leave your luggage in the restaurant nearby. You have also got to negotiate steep stairs to the 4th floor. If you need to be away early breakfast doesnt start until 8:30

We arrived a little early but were able to store bags in the restaurant below and start exploring. The room is up many stairs but is a decent size and has an excellent view out over the Antifeatro. Aircon is noisy but welcome. Breakfast was very good, with its own view over city rooftops. Great choice for Lucca.

The pros and cons of staying in Lucca Italy are something to consider if you are traveling with a car. The location is great if you want a central hub for all the major Tuscan cities like Sienna, Volterra, Pisa and San Gimiagno but the parking situation will be rough if you stay inside the walls of Lucca. Our apartment was very nice in size except for the bathroom and kitchen area which were tiny. The bedroom and living room are huge with ample closet space and living quarters. Our bedroom windows opened up to the main plaza and was located near many shops and restaurants. Lucca is great in every way but parking is nearly impossible as its metered from 8am to 8pm and you are not permitted to drive inside the walls of the city without special permission. Overall the apartment was simple, clean but the noise from the sanitation trucks each morning at 4-5am was terrible. Something to consider if you are a light sleeper.

Wowed by the location, atmosphere and view onto the Anfiteatro but the experience was soured on a few occasions. We understand it's an old building, and areas like the bathroom sink and toilet were clean, but the floors were dusty and dirty and two dirty drying towels in the kitchen you wouldn't want to use. You also sacrifice a good sleep for the location - it's noisy. On arrival we were told breakfast wasn't included and it would be five euros each. One morning we had breakfast in the B&B's Cafe Puccini in the anfiteatro - 2 poor cappuccinos and basic shortcrust tarts cost us €16 although the bill listed the cappuccinos as €6 and the tarts were listed at zero. This didn't seem strange because a nearby cafe does a deal: 2cappuccinos and homemade croissants €6 in total.So we paid and left a tip. As we were leaving the waiter said there was a mistake and we needed to pay for the tarts, €10 on top of what we'd already paid. One reason we chose At Home was for the airport transfer option, our booking said it cost €40 round trip, and reviews mentioned a 'small fee'. When we were dropped off at the B&B we were asked for €50. Ok we thought, a bit cheeky, you've upped the price by €10 but we let it drop because we always tip. When we were dropped back at the airport the driver asked if we'd paid. I said yes, on Monday when we arrived but an email since says that the €50 was for a one way trip.I screen-grabbed our booking which said the shuttle was €40 roundtrip&Marco relented.

Great welcome from Marco the owner. Good breakfast - buffet style with fruit meat cheese bread croissants etc. Rooms are spacious with air conditioning. well situated right next to the Anfiteatro (actually part of the surrounding buildings). Lucca is a greta city to visit with a rail station that gets you direct to Florence or Viareggio on the coast. Great food in a city full of decent eating places.
