Filthy smelling apartment

Location and clean beds

There were no oven trays so I could not cook. We reached 1.5 hrs late but the apartment was still being cleaned. The lovely cleaners rushed but still the smell of unclean mops and chemicals remained in the apartment throughout the stay. Very very old place , everything from. The entrance to the bedroom to the bathroom smells. Not booking again.

Easy online check in, spacious appartment

Fridge, I didnt get the same appartment which I booked and saw on pictures, but was also ok (they have photos of very modern appartment and I always got some older not very nice (I was there 4x)). Big noise in house like arguments of many people many hours, annoying and a bit scaring but not their fault

Their shower head broken and water pressure is slowly, they say will come to repair soon but nobody comes fixing after two nights we check out.

Easy to find close to public transport

Blanket not big enough to cover bed let alone two people. Very noisily until about 02:00 had to wash all cutlery glasses. Tv not even plugged in to power no batteries in remote terrible shower with towels that stink. Photos on booking. Com don’t mach at all. Probably had about three hours of half decent sleep my partner told me after we left sum thing poking through the bed.

Are money was taken and havent yet been refunded we never stayed at the premises after opening the door was enough to make us walk back out and returned the keys fousty smell in the building unhygenic and smell of cigarettes after it says no smoking still awaiting a response from the premises had to go pay another 100+ pounds for the 3 of us staying for a different accommodation not happy at all and the reply response is terrible im still no further forward to getting my money back would steer clear from these premises

Safely concerns, absolutely not as described

Good central location, large apartment

Very poor maintenance. Sockets falling off the walls, a bare wire sticking out of a live socket! Kettle had the wrong plug, TV didn't work, not enough cutlery for 4 people, tiny 2 person table for 4, one single duvet per double bed! Mould in shower, no rack or tray in oven, Etc.

This isn't the first time I've stayed at a Swiss Star Apt. Unfortunately, this time was the height of it all... The apartment floor wasn't clean, the kitchen wasn't clean, and there was grease on the stove. The kitchen utensils were unusable. The shower curtain was awful; it dragged on the floor, making it difficult to shower properly. The noise in the building was infernal, and to top it off, they used photos that didn't match the apartment. But as you can see from all the reviews, this seems to be common, and it's unacceptable that Booking.com would tolerate these situations.

Location is good and well connected. Flat is quite spacious and good mattress.

First of all, no WiFi code or access, fridge dirty with terrible odors, the barroom door doesn’t close. Poor WiFi speed and only 3 devices allowed. The cleaning person demanded us out before eleven.

Our stay there was really nice. The place is near everything, just a couple of minutes away from the city center.

The unit is spacious and near the shops and train stations. There is also a laundry area in the basement. It was so easy to check in and check out.

There was no fan when it was so hot. The floor was a bit dirty too. There was also no frying pan available.

Disappointing Stay Despite Easy Check-In

Smooth check-in process: The check-in was quick and efficient. Room cleanliness and space: The room was reasonably spacious and clean upon arrival.

Poor maintenance: The unit felt neglected, and it seemed like management didn’t care much about addressing reported issues. No elevator access: Reaching the floor with luggage was inconvenient due to the absence of a lift. Old and unstable furniture: The dining chairs were wobbly and felt unsafe to use. Broken blinds: The main door blinds were damaged, compromising privacy. Bathroom issues: The bathroom door was missing a lock/key, which made using it very uncomfortable. Lack of essentials: No cleaning supplies, dishwashing liquids, or cloth hangers were provided. Non-functional amenities: The remote control didn’t work, adding to the inconvenience. Overall, the stay was disappointing, and I felt the unit was not worth the price paid. Basic upkeep and attention to guest needs were clearly lacking. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve future guest experiences.

The property was not worth the money charged as well as the condition of the property was not up to the level expected.

The one bedroom’s bed was unmade and looked like it had been recently slept in. When the covers were pulled back there were many long black strands of hair. I could not sleep in this bed as I did not feel the bed was clean enough to sleep in.

Very disappointed – the property was nothing like the listing: dirty, poorly maintained, and misleading

I had a very disappointing experience with this apartment. The main door was broken, which made me feel extremely unsafe throughout my stay. It was clear that this issue had not been addressed for a while. The apartment itself was in poor condition — poorly maintained and not at all like the photos on the listing. Basic amenities were either missing like no fan . I contacted the host, but the response was slow and unhelpful. The garage ban was also broken, adding to the overall inconvenience and lack of security. For the price I paid, I expected at least a safe and functional place to stay. I absolutely do not recommend this apartment to anyone. It was one of the worst experiences I’ve had on Booking.com.

It was a very basic place to sleep.

The kitchen was not well stocked with cooking pans. We couldn't get the TV to work, we ran out of toilet paper. There was no dish soap nor dishwasher soap. It was a very basic place to sleep. Cleanliness was nice.

An unclean, unsafe, and poorly managed apartment with zero response from staff — completely unacceptable and not worth y

My experience at Swiss Star Wiedikon Apartments was extremely disappointing and concerning. • The apartment was dirty: Hair on the toilet seat, unwashed dishes, and trash under the bed (including a plastic bottle). • It smelled of cigarette smoke, and there were cigarette butts in the balcony plant pot — both unhygienic and a fire risk. • Missing basics: No remote batteries, no dishwasher or Wi-Fi instructions, and overall poor maintenance. • Major safety issues: broken electrical socket, No visible smoke detectors, no evacuation plan, no emergency equipment. • I filed a detailed complaint to the management right after check-in and received no response at all. This property does not meet basic hospitality standards, and certainly not Swiss ones. I cannot recommend it.

Easy check in

A really bad smell of smoke in the room despite the non smoking sign. We couldn’t even sit on the sofa cause was so creepy. People screening in the middle of the night. Really not a place I can recommend.

The process could be streamlined

Decent size, modern-looking apartment. It was close to the city center, walking distance to groceries stores, playgrounds and public transit. The place was rather clean.

The back and forth about reserving parking was stressful and unnecessary. I’ve asked to reserve the parking spot on 3 different occasions only to be replied with the same templated email asking for a license plate. I’ve repeatedly replied that I won’t know the license plate until the day of our arrival to no avail. The wifi in our room wasn’t working which this is an important item for someone traveling from abroad. When I raised the issue, I got a few replies in german asking to contact the internet provider. I ended up unplugging the router in our unit and caught the signal of a neighboring one (I hope someone finds this tip useful). The dishwasher wasn’t working and there were a lot of dishes for a family of 4.

Only very basic supplies of cooking equipment in the kitchen No tea or coffee supplied No air conditioning - will be horrible in summer No instructions on how to use anything in the apartment Two TVs, one remote which had no batteries. No remote for the other TV Late check in of 3 pm, inconvenient for the guests - cleaning staff going through at 11am when we checked out. Not good value for money A long distance to walk to old town or anywhere with nice cafes around.

Terrible , irresponsible.

Only the location , it was near of the center but still a lot of problems with parking

The staff were very irresponsible. We were forced to leave one night even we paid and no money back, because we couldn't find parking anywhere near the hotel. We stayed at a friend's place for the rest of the night. Then the next day, in order not to lose the total payment, we returned and paid 40chf for parking. The staff responded very late, never again to this hotel!!

Nothing about this place is good

This is one of the worst stays I’ve ever had, the pictures don’t match the description, the place is so filthy, the floors are sticky, the beds aren’t washed. We had to wait 2 hours just for someone to give us the key as the self check in service didn’t work. Couldn’t offer us a refund either and the host was very rude. The place stinks of cigarettes, and stains all over the walls and socks turned black after walking about in the apartment

Basic apartment Clean and well equipped kitchenette. Updated shower with strong hot water. Easy to get keys.

Only 3 twin coverlets for four people. Tv not functioning due to no batteries in the remote. Only Two small well used loveseats to sit in. Coffee table needs repair and it was the only place to eat….. basic apartment all around.

Cheap for Switzerland but we expected more

It was spacious. Getting in was fine. Kitchen was decent but lacked some basics.

The pillows weren’t pillows. The duvet was so small that either my ankles or shoulders were exposed so we were cold. The sofas were hard and therefore quite uncomfortable. There were no batteries in the tv remote or light bulbs in the lamps and one toilet roll which didn’t get replaced and we stayed for a few nights.

We enjoyed the apartment due to it’s location and comfortable beds. Pleased with the assistance from the owners when there were technical issues.

The sink was blocked, piece of fridge cupboard on the floor and no light at the entrance proving poor quality check after each guest. No internet instructions left in the apartment despite this being indicated in the welcoming email.

There’s a hole in the wall covered by a thin piece of wood. Sink doesn’t function properly, started leaking plus not draining. Has a shower head that doesn’t fit into its holder, very strange. Pictures of this property are all fake.
