Queen House

The room was comfortable and the property itself is very nice. The view over the Nile is absolutely stunning and was definitely the highlight of our stay. The host was responsive before our arrival and helped arrange our transfer to the island, which made the check-in process straightforward. On our last morning, he also kindly offered to take us to Aswan by boat so we didn’t have to walk across the island, which we really appreciated.

Unfortunately, communication during our stay was inconsistent. As we visited in the low season, there was often no one at the property during the day. When we arrived, there was no welcome or information about practical things such as where to catch the boat, where to eat, or how the ferry worked. Before our departure day, after we had already paid, we were unable to reach anyone by Booking, WhatsApp, or phone when we needed help arranging our transfer to Luxor. Fortunately, the owner of the neighbouring guesthouse stepped in and helped us book a taxi. Breakfast was also quite basic, and the takeaway option consisted of two small sandwiches and a bottle of water.

まずは何よりも宿からの景色！！テラス付きの部屋に滞在しましたが、テラスから見える夕焼けは格別でした。エレファンティネ島でゆっくり過ごすには最高の宿かと思います。 また、朝１０時に到着したのですが、すぐにチェックインさせてくれました。帰りは宿を１６時発の空港送迎をお願いしたところ、その時間まで部屋に滞在させてくれました。空室状況次第かと思いますが、とても助かりました。 市街地からは公共ボート（島の東側に北と南で乗り場が２つあるが、南側乗り場の方が宿には近い）で片道１５EGPで移動でき、10-15分に一本は必ず出ている感じなので特に不便は感じませんでした。

Le calme, la vue, l’immersion

Colourful Nubian style house. Rustic. Tiny balcony despite photo with great view of Nile and Agha Khan mausoleum. Breakfast looked ok but decided on fruit as caught a stomach complaint most likely from the kofta meatballs from restaurant below. The owner coordinated our ferry transport to and from the island and a trip to a Nubian village and Abu Simbel. Being on the Nile is quite magical regardless of accommodation

Thin rugs are trip hazard on tiled floor. Bathroom is very tiny. No real shower area so it’s between toilet and washbasin. Air condition unit very noisy. Airless room unless balcony door is open.
