    - Location was the best. Just right outside the train station. - Relatively clean, slightly dusty at some contact points, e.g. handrails, sofas, carpeted floor. - A bee was found in the muesli at the breakfast corner. Slightly off-putting. - Service was commendable. One of the night staff was accommodating when we arrived early on a sleeper train, helped store our luggage and offered us an early check-in (we declined because it was an additional €50). - Exercise facilities aka the "gym" comprised of cross-trainer and a stationary bike. Not much of a "gym".

    The hotel is dated and worn. Bedding and foam mattress sub par. I counted 20+ pubic hairs scattered across the floor, behind the toilet, on the shelf above it, around the bath, by the sink. Not cleaned properly between guests. The centralized A/C barely worked, presumably to cut costs — the 1990s wall dial was max cold but next to nothing came from the vent. I spent most of the stay uncomfortably hot. Opening the window (with a beautiful view of a wall) didn’t help and let noise in. One night I made the mistake of falling asleep under the duvet and woke up dehydrated and soaked through with sweat. Kept making awkward eye contact with the people on the room next door wondering why they had their door open but now I realise it was probably because the hallway was sometimes cooler. Poorly sound insulated. I accidentally booked the wrong dates and had to book again. I requested a refund for the wrong dated one but they lacked empathy and rejected it.

    On the lobby, there was a smoother vending machine which is used for purchasing necessities. It required to pay deposit 50 euros but it never refunded.

    No charging point near the night stand. No bathrobes, slippers or other basic accessories placed by default. One needs to call the reception and you need to collect. It’s lowly staffed, so reception is always busy or requests take a lot of time. The staff however is kind. It didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel. The location however is great.
