Superb location

The location first & foremost. This 2-bed apartment in Lyon is within easy walking distance of all the attractions, while being over the road from a fabulous Michelin starred restaurant called Regain. Second, the apartment is comfortable & the 2 bedrooms are spacious, each with their own en suite of shower & sink. For a family of 4, the one toilet was fine, but for a larger group that could be tricky. Third, It was special to be greeted by Evelyne, the owner who walked us through the place & made sure we were all set. She also provided tea, coffee pods & basic kitchen essentials. In short, this is a lovely place to stay.

The sofa in the living room is a sofa bed & not so comfy for watching tv, only because we just had to finish Stranger Things!

Beautiful Apartment in Great Location

The apartment is in a fabulous location - walking distance to everything. Evelyne met us on our arrival and showed us around. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Book it if you can!

Nothing. The only thing I would mention is that there are 2 shower rooms but only one toilet. This was probably clear in the description of the apartment however I must have missed this. I erroneously assumed there would also be 2 toilets.

Quite oasis in the centre of Lyon

Beautiful, quiet, spacious apartment close to all sightseeing spots around Lyon, restaurants and shops. Warm and clean apartments, very comfortable beds and wonderful host. Would definitely come back again.

La Suite Terreaux was a beautiful, quiet apartment, a stone's throw from the river.

The location of the apartment was excellent - near superb restaurants and just a short walk across the river from the Old Town. It was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our host had thought of everything and was incredibly kind and helpful. She was happy to share her knowledge of where to eat, and left us advice on what to do in Lyon, which we could mull over in our own time. The showers were piping hot, the beds really comfortable and the kitchen very well appointed. The sitting room was large, bright and airy and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

An exceptional apartment and location. We felt like locals!

An exquisite apartment, quiet, comfortable and perfectly located for exploring the best of Lyon. The space and decor made us feel we were swanning around a French film set - such a treat to be in a traditional building (and a very handy lift) with high ceilings, windows and so tastefully decorated. Evelyne has the apartment and hosting down to a fine art. We felt safe and La Suite Terreaux is a perfect base from which to walk and a delight to return to every evening and contained within the most colourful and fascinating part of the city.

We enjoyed our stay in Lyon as the apartment is quiet, comfortable and very well located

The property has many minor problems that seem to not get fixed by the owner. Share toilet door does not shut, but all door have problems, one shower doesn’t drain properly. Kitchen stools broken, heating and cooling has a mind of its own.

Amazing host and great location, with a lovely roomy apartment. There was lots of good local restaurants, bars and bakeries near by.

With only fans for cooling the premises did get a bit uncomfortable when temperature was over 32.

The masters bathroom had problem with drainaige, water would sometimea overflow. Would have wanted a bidet in the WC. Also one of our keys did not work, so it was harder for our group to go on separate trips

Beautiful building in a fantastic location. The apartment is very well appointed and highly attractive. It is also very roomy with high ceilings. The shower rooms are ample and even have storage. Even though you can't "unpack and put your stuff away", there is plenty of room for your luggage to not be in your way. Their is reliable wifi and an excellent cable channel line up. The kitchen is so nice and has excellent appliances. The lift works very well and the lobby is attractive and clean. The landlord is super nice and helpful. This lovely apartment really made our stay in Lyon perfect.

This apartment doesn't have air conditioning. When its warm, as it was this October, you have to leave the windows open. Since its a busy area, with high pedestrian traffic and near a very busy cafe, you smell cigarettes 24 hours a day. When the windows are closed, you can't hear outside noises or smell cigarettes. Being American, I just wasn't accustomed to the smell of smoke but that wasn't a fault of the apartment itself.

The absolutely only slight inconvenience was one toilet. There were 2 new well renovated bathrooms with large showers, heated towel rack, etc but no toilets in them. We were 3 adults staying, so a slight inconvenience.

We LOVED this place!

We were a group of three, one couple and a friend, staying for a week. We liked having not only two separate bedrooms, but also separate shower rooms. (To be clear, each bedroom had its own shower/bath/sink room, but there is only a single shared toilet in the apartment.) We loved the sitting room and dining area, as well as the well-furnished kitchen. The fridge worked very well, as did the stove, oven, and coffee maker. The apartment is in a very cool, interesting part of town -- far more lively (in a good way) than across the Rhone. Tons of great "modern" coffee shops (meaning they use very good beans and the baristas know what they're doing). Lots and lots of good cafes and restaurants, both traditional and modern. Several grocers nearby, including at least one good BIO option. When we return to Lyon, we'll always check availability at La Suite Terreaux first. We might even try to arrange a month-long stay at some point. The facilities are spot-on and the host is incredible.

Very, very little room for improvement. Being Americans accustomed to American washer/dryers, getting the one in the apartment to do what we wanted almost overwhelmed us. But that's hardly the fault of the apartment. I honestly can't think of any real deficiencies.

Best location and a great clean apt

500m or 10 min walk to the pedestrianised shopping street. 10 sec walk to the river. surrounded by restaurants and supermarkets. The apartment is 1 King bed room, 1 twin bed room, 1 queen sized sofa bed in living room. Apt is clean, bright, well maintained. The owner is delightful and helpful. It is on the 2nd floor with a lift.

2 separate showers in bathrooms with no WC. only 1 separate toilet with WC.

The apartment is a beautiful. Old, but well renovated and has everything you need. The location is perfect and the host Evelyne was very attentive and lovely. If we come back to Lyon, we will stay here again!
