Sorry, but on our experience I couldn't recommend it.

The location.

Only one smelly towel provided. A very uncomfortable bed. A coffee machine, but no coffee.

Your own place in the Old Town! What else?

Conveniently situated not far from Metro stations to the city or up to the old town. In the centre of a Renaissance neigbourhood on a ancient Roman road. Simple but well furnished studio apartment on street level. Good bed, good bathroom, good kitchen with micro, bodum coffee maker, kettle, two stoves, cutlery, plates and pots and pans. Friendly host, easily accessible. Small supérettes (local wee supermarkets) with basics and essentials next to the Metro station, nice wine shop just behind. Nannybag stations really close too (places you can store your luggage for an hour or a day for 6 euros per piece; that's how I learnt about that gorgeous wine shop called cavavin, where the owner is really friendly and knows his stuff).

Some people don't know how to clean pans and ruined some of the ones that were there. I told the landlord, and he said he'd change them :)

Dirty apartment in a great old town location

Good communication prior to arrival and a spacious property in a lovely area of the old town

No soap or shower gel provided, no cleaning done, towels and bedding were still there from previous occupant. The toilet was also soiled. This was really unexpected. I contacted the owner by text and, even though he was very communicative prior to my arrival, he chose to ignore my complaints afterwards

Modern kitchen decent location but poor value for money.

The kitchen was very modern and had a dishwasher etc.

There were blood and other unidentifiable yellow stains on the duvet for the sofa bed, the sofa bed also had a stain on it. The shower gives you static shock every time you touch the handles and after informing the host about all these things he simply did not acknowledge them. Considering there is a €200 deposit fee as well as the price of the apartment I would at least have hoped for basic necessities in the apartment being up to scratch. Also apartment is on a very steep hill so is not easily accessible.

I should have chosen a proper hotel without any hassle.

It was in the middle of the historic centre, for what that is worth.

- The days leading up to my stay, I was spammed with messages in french in my Booking Inbox. I guess I used at least one hour of my time effectively, translating, answering and managing payment of deposit. - I had to pay a deposit in euros, which I got back after I checked out, minus a fee, and the exchange rate for my card, which made it in total 15 euros more expensive than announced. - The procedure to get my keys included me having to scroll through all these messages in my inbox, and finding a phone number, which was obviously not the correct number. After trying to get in touch via that number (to some company used for the deposit, it turned out), I finally found the right number, and got the instructions. By this time I really wished that I had just chosen a hotel instead. - There were sheets missing, and when I repeatedly messaged about that, I simply got no answer. - The apartment was not easy to access with a car, nor by foot, since it is in the middle of a long quite steep hill leading up from the most touristy part of old town. - The floor was dirty on arrival, but to be sure of getting the deposit back, we vacuumed it with a not very good cleaner in the morning. - The beds were not very comfortable. - When I took a (normal) shower in the morning, the entire bathroom floor was flooded, so I had to mop it with a towel for a good 20 minutes. That is how I found out that the bathroom floor was not very clean either.

Convenient for a short stay in the old town

Good location in the old city, easy check in, clean apartment. The host explained everything in great detail. The apartment was convenient for an one night stay during la Fête des Lumières.

Very cold floor. It was OK with us, but perhaps wouldn’t be so for a family with small children.

Nice location, missing equipment

Apartment with a lovely location.

A lot of basic equipment mentioned on booking.com was missing like shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer etc., which was disappointing!

Fine but not with baby

The flat was okay but little bit small. Hard to get in with baby and pushchair because you need to walk on the top of the hill on not really comfortable ground with rocks. Fine for couples or friends to stay for night .
