Lovely, unique and special place to stay in the heart of Vieux Lyon

Wonderful decor - art everywhere and in a very old lovely building with lots of character! Perfect location! The host was just great and we enjoyed our stay very much.

The location was perfect and a very unique apartment.

The location of the apartment was perfect. It is in the centre of the old city and it is so unique as is in a Unesco building. Tourists come to look at the building all day which is quirky but it quiet at night so this doesnt impede on sleep. Frederic is a fantastic host.

The apartment is very eclectic with lots of artwork which can be overwhelming. It is also a very old apartment so is dark inside.

Fantastic location. Frederic Jean, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The room was full of weird and wonderful art, also books, dvds etc. He's a very trusting and decent guy.

Loud noise early morning of garbage bins being moved around, but in the city centre that's hard to avoid. Internet connection in the room wasn't very strong. But overall a great place to be.

Very private, quiet and quaint apartment full of charm, in a perfect location.

Exceptional Host agreed to let us in early with our bags. The apartment was beautifully decorated with pieces of art from the host's collection. Perfect location for exploring the old section of Lyon and Lyon itself. Very quiet at night. Very easy to reach from the subway station, even the suitcases survived the cobblestone streets.

The beams above the main bed in the mezzanine level were very low, I only managed to hit my head once :). Not really an issue but it's the only thing I can think of. The rest was perfect.

A place to remember

Very nice location, amazing ancient building and a amazing host that makes you feel welcome even for one night. Full of Art. A unique place that you will remember.

Our Appartement had a mezzanine with the main double bed, and a couch on the ground floor. For the master bed : Both the stairs and the very low ceiling made a trip to the bathroom a nighttime adventure. With the occasional head bump. Not recommended for everyone.

Perfect, central location to visit Lyon. Definitely recommend Artelit for a charming short stay.

Very smooth and efficient. Frederic met us and provided maps and suggestions for our visit.

During our short stay the weather plummeted to -2 and the old system of storage heaters struggled to maintain comfortable heat. Picture quality of the television prohibitive - not living up to the task of providing a cosy, relaxing experience. WiFi - was free but connectivity issues and generally unstable.

We had a fab time during our brief stay in Lyon. The location was great.

A fabulous location in a really old bulding. Quirky room with lots of artwork. Very comfortable and clean bed. Frederic was really helpful and welcoming giving us lots of advice about Lyon. It was great being in the old time which was really buzzy especially at night

It would have been great to have a few more items in the kitchen such as bowls and water glasses. There were loads of mosquitos so maybe some mosquito repellant plugs

Excellent location - right in the middle of Vieux Lyon, with lots of dining options around. Really interesting and unique decor, and lovely outlook onto La Tour Rose from the terrace.

Tall people might struggle with the bedroom in the mezzanine floor. We were fine with it though.

the owner has hideous artwork in the room. he displays homosexuality on his paintings. the room is disgusting and has no tv service. no kitchen either.

Nice stay in the center of Lyon.

Very good location, in the house with the Pink Tower in its courtyard, close to most of the city attractions. Very nice host, that gave us relevant information on where to park the car and what we can do/see in Lyon during our stay.

The beam above the bed. It’s too low so please be careful when you go to bed. Parking your car in Lyon is a headache.

Loved it.

the apartment was eclectic and beautifully decorated. it really reflected the personality of the owner, Frederic, who is the perfect host. The building is historic and perfectly located in the old town. Frederic gave us a comprehensive and very helpful briefing on arrival as to the different areas to visit and things to do. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if back in Lyon, which we would like as 3 days was definitely not enough time to do everything.

No complaints at all. Just note this property not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems or difficulty with stairs.

Boutique room located in the city center

Boutique room, very well located in the city center (vieux Lyon). The room itself is an art galery, being in the Tour Rose building. No breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Hope to come back for a longer stay!

A gorgeous apartment in the center of the old town of Lyon that is beyond compare.

The location is outstanding right in the middle of the old town section. It is like staying in an art museum with original and beautiful sculptures, paintings, etc in the apartment. The host, Frederick, was friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Pefectly Located and Outstanding Host

Lovely room in an historic building. It is centrally located so you can walk to any of the attractions in the Old Town and beyond. Dining is nearby as well as important sights. Frederic is an essential piece of the charm. He could not have been more helpful sending us on our way immediately to view the historic buildings and traboules in the city. He had suggestions for many other venues, including food! The room is unique with its display of art. Comfortable in that you can make coffee or tea in the morning and enjoy the lovely view from the triple windows onto the courtyard. We enjoyed the room, the environment and Frederic! We would highly recommend.
