Doyenné Vieux Lyon

The apartment was clean and in a great location, with a metro station, convenience stores, and several restaurants within a short walking distance. The 2 flights of stairs going up to the apartment were very manageable, even with our luggage. Additionally, the host was very kind and responsive, and the only very minor hiccup we had was dealt with swiftly. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Lyon!

Not a dislike but more of a heads up, when the sofa bed is extended out, there is not much room around it; however, we were expecting this, given this is a studio apartment!

This is a fabulous little apartment. In the old quarter with a five minute walk across to Bellecour. There are heaps of restaurants around and supermarkets if you wish to eat in. There is also a metro station about 100 metres away. The apartment has everything you could want for a few nights’ stay including a washing machine. The owner was very responsive and helpful as were the instructions to get into the property. Only two minor issues to be aware of - the apartment is on the second floor and there’s no lift. The stairs are manageable but require care. Secondly, there is no aircon, only a fan and in summer the apartment was extremely warm.

L'alloggio si trova in una posizione centrale nella zona di Vieux Lyon, viva ma comunque molto silenziosa la sera. L'appartamento non è grandissimo ma ci siamo stati comodamente in 4 per due notti. Il parcheggio non è incluso ma si trova tranquillamente nei dintorni a pagamento, anche se abbastanza caro.

Great location and the host was very helpful. The apartment has all the amenities you need for a longer stay, or for self catering (eg fridge, dishwasher, kettle, microwave, washing machine).

If you have a car we found it difficult to find car parking near the apartment during the day. No problem in the evening. Don't pack heavy luggage as there is two flights of stairs to carry it up. The shower and toilet facilities are in small rooms so would not be suitable for large people.
