This was such a beautiful apartment to spend a few days in discovering Vieux Lyon. The building itself is very old and atmospheric, and inside has been beautifully preserved and sensitively restored. It was well-equipped and very spacious with thoughtful touches including ear plugs and mosquito repellant (both needed in summer if you're a light sleeper, but I found it very comfortable). I never needed the fan, even in the middle of the heatwave; the big windows provided plenty of ventilation and there wasn't too much noise from the street below to bother me.

The narrow, winding medieval stairs were very narrow and very winding. A little challenging with big luggage. However, the apartment is only one floor up and this was a very minor issue, reminding me I was in a very old building!

The apartment is quite spacious and visually appealing. Access to the apartment was straightforward thanks to the clear and detailed instructions. Overall, it is rather expensive for what it offers and has some notable shortcomings, although the very good location in the old town makes it still acceptable.

However, the stairs are very steep and narrow, so caution is necessary. There is no air conditioning, and during summer it can become quite hot inside. Since it is rather noisy outside—with a restaurant and two bars nearby that can be loud after midnight - it is not really possible to keep the windows open at night. Only a fan is provided. The apartment itself would really benefit from some maintenance, as other commenters have mentioned for at least a year. There is mold in the bathroom shower, and the shower drain needs to be covered to prevent unpleasant odors (as noted in the instructions). The washing machine is out of order (which is okay, as it wasn't mentioned in the ad). The trash bin lid is loose, and in the kitchen, the panel near the floor by the washing machine is not properly secured. Additionally, one of the panels covering the pipes in the bedroom near the window fell off and injured my foot, as it was not firmly fixed (the screws are missing).
