Place had great potential

Great location and nice view.

Small bathroom. Shower curtain needs to be replaced and shower needed a deep scrub. Extra garbage bags would of been nice. Couch in the living area was small and uncomfortable for sitting. Also couch cover and pillow ls need to be replaced or at least washed.

If I go back to Lyon I’d look to stay again

High up on the sixth floor this property is very secure with two secure doors on the ground floor before you get to the lift or stairs. The lounge room windows open to a brilliant view of the historic church just opposite. It’s spacious and is ideal for a family or group of friends and is way better value than other options we looked at in the same area which were sometimes four times more expensive and much smaller. It has a kitchen and washing too so great for preparing meals with food bought locally. There’s a great small supermarket just 200m away

A disaster - avoid!

Location is good

We lost £1,300 on this booking and neither the owners or booking.com have helped. We selected this property as it stated it has air con, and we knew it would be very hot in August. The air con did not work, did not cool any room of the property and the temperature exceeded 40 degrees - no curtains to stop the sun coming in and roasting the property it was a utter health hazard. Nobody slept. We had booked a week and left after only 1 night and booked elsewhere. I can’t begin to explain how hot and suffocating it was. The place was dirty, owners belongings in all wardrobes and drawers - not suitable for families with young children due to the upstairs bedrooms and windows with no child guards on. The place was a disgrace and I’m so upset nobody has helped us try and recoup some of the money lost with us having to book a nearby hotel. Do not go here, if you read the other reviews on air BnB you’ll see lots of other people left after only one night - can’t believe booking.com are still happy to list this place. I did give the owners opportunity to respond and resolve prior to leaving this message but they’ve ignored all my contact.

TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT - do not book if you require AC in the summer.

The location is relatively good - near restaurants and shopping which is why we booked the place. Lyon has good metro and tram system so it's easy to get around.

VERY DISAPPOINTED with unit and with management. We canceled our 4 day booking after just 12 hours because we specifically chose this unit because it was "air conditioned". BUT the one AC unit was totally ineffective as it only cools the stairs to the loft and did not service the bedroom at all (see pic). Absolutely none of the cooled air reached the main BR which is located behind the kitchenette, so it was still 87 degrees F after "cooling" the unit for several hours. We were not able to sleep at all so we left by 9 am the next morning to give the manager time to rebook the property if able but they made no attempt to do so and just kept our money and said "we didn't say the bedroom had AC" - which defeats the point of filtering for AC for a place you intend to sleep! In addition to the AC issue, the property entrance is in the corner or a pedestrian street making it a prime place for folks to relieve themselves, so the smell of urine was very strong at the entrance (see pic). The white shower liner was filthy (see pic) and the unit lacked comfortable seating with the only sofa covered in faux fur making it impossible to sit there on such a hot day. So after one night we chose to take a loss if necessary and book a hotel instead so we could enjoy our time in Lyon.

Fijn appartement, fantastische locatie, super-host

Ruim genoeg voor 5 personen, prettig ingericht. Prima bedden. Uniek uitzicht op de kerk en over de daken. Fantastische locatie midden in centrum Lyon, op loopafstand van bezienswaardigheden. Super-host, ze reageert heel snel en altijd heel vriendelijk. We komen graag terug.
