meditation monastery stay

Lovely people and such a special place! The mother of one of the monks took wonderful care of us together with a very young monk, and communication via WhatsApp with the monk who runs the place was always easy and smooth. We were warmly welcomed with tea, which was a lovely start to our stay. We stayed in the upstairs room, which was really nice and had a large bathroom. The terraces are wonderful places to sit, relax and enjoy the beautiful views. We were served delicious breakfast and lunch, and our kids absolutely loved all the dogs, especially the little puppy! We also visited the beautiful temple and received very kind and interesting explanations from the man working on the temple paintings – very impressive! It’s an easy and short walk into town along the railway tracks, and you can take a tuk-tuk back for around 500 rupees. We really enjoyed our three nights here and would definitely recommend this special place. Thank you for everything!

The dogs are lovely, but there are quite a few of them, so this might be something to consider if you are afraid of dogs. There is also quite a lot of barking, and it can get a little noisy in the morning, especially in the downstairs rooms. One of the dogs even ate one of our shoes, so better keep your things inside your room! The whole place is truly beautiful and has so much potential. With a little more care and tidying up around the property, it could be even more charming and welcoming. Despite these little points, we were all very happy here and really enjoyed our three nights in this wonderful and unique homestay. It has a very special atmosphere and we’re very glad we stayed here. Thank you for everything!

La ubicación para visitar ELLA es perfecta ya que está apartado pero a 7 minutos caminando por la vía del tren. La habitación esta bien y el baño un poco justo pero correcto. Un sito para estas unos días tranquilo y poder descansar y visitar los alrededores de ELLA con calma.

La información para llegar no es muy clara y sería necesario tener algún armario para poder dejar la ropa. La habitación esta bien equipada con Nevera y hervidor pero falta alguna cosa para dejar la ropa. El baño es un poco justo en mi caso no olía mal pero algunos clientes me dijeron que el suyo olía mal. Buen sitio para descansar estar tranquilo.

I absolutely loved this stay. The location was perfect: close enough to walk to the village centre along the railway tracks, while still being far enough away from the noise and busyness to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. The meditation sessions with Monk Shanti at the nearby monastery were the highlight of my stay and one of the most memorable experiences of my entire trip. The room was comfortable, the bed and pillows were very cozy, and I loved having a terrace with a beautiful view where I could relax. The mosquito net around the bed was also a great touch. The two lovely dogs at the property were an extra joy, and the kindness and peaceful atmosphere of the place made this stay truly special.

There was no hot water, and I occasionally saw a cockroach in the room at night. However, it was not a major issue, as they did not bother me and the mosquito net around the bed made me feel comfortable and protected.

breakfast was more than enough and the guest keeper is nice

the bed is very hard, the bathroom looked like as it had last been cleaned months ago. and the building looks like a forgotten place. can be tough to reach out so someone, as there is not always someone in and mails are not checkt regularly and phone is not always answered.
