Had parking, stayed in the annexe which was lovely. Good central location

A little old fashioned in the dining room but that wasn’t an issue.

Close to shops, lake, lots of eateries . Russel & Julie were fab host & hostess, breakfast was delicious, lots of choice.

Lovely host, great location and we were able to park in one of their spots.

Bed wasn't very comfortable, too soft and not long enough if you are over 6 foot! Only saw the hosts in the morning so no-one around to ask for more coffee, milk etc. Shower wasn't great

Right at the top of Bowness, literally 5mins from everything the town has to offer so very convenient. Breakfast is a good value (though you're expected to pay cash on the day if you add-on). Bed was comfortable enough and WiFi was good enough to stream TV. Free parking spaces if you're lucky enough to catch a vacant one, and bus stops to Windermere and all other major towns just outside. Overall a decent enough place to crash after a day out on the lakes.

Room wasn't quite big enough to fit the bed in, and obstructed all the doors which getting round the room was a bit of a hassle. We had a broken extractor fan in the small ensuite (which would definitely not suite "larger" guests), and window had safety locks on them preventing them from being opened fully - so a couple of showers and the whole room turned into a bog. Parking is incredibly limited - Their guest house has up to 8 rooms but only 3 private parking spaces and the sidestreet it's on is rammed. so invariably be prepared to pay for the Bowness pay & display (another c.£10 a day)
